About The Amphibious Man

The Amphibious Man began in the woods of New Milford, CT in 2011 when Jason Principi started to take his experimental music in a new direction by mixing it with his obsession with the macabre. This lead to a few songs put out on “Haunted” that his pals could creep to. He then recruited some friends from University of Hartford to accompany him including Jake Downey on Bass, Shaun Burns on drums, and Mike Myrbeck on guitar. Together they wrote and recorded their August 2013 release “Spit Globs” which came with an entire backside of oddities entitled “The Brobdingnagian B-Sides” (released before the A-side.) Shortly afterwards, the band added Jackie Hopkins and Adam Heege to the gang and in May of 2014 released a malicious ode to the fraternities and sororities surrounding them daily entitled “Fraternal Curses.” In December 2014 the band announced their upcoming album “Witch Hips” yet again with a small B-Side release titled “TAKE A SEAT.” The Amphibious Man is now an ever-growing collective of occult-minded individuals seemingly set on exploring the many areas of the macabre and intertwining them with music. Urching crack of the hip echoes around the wet wooded pines as multidimensional Gigantopithecus' smack the trees in communication.
