Born and raised in Hamburg, HONKA was taken under the wings of his father, a classical music producer, who introduced him to the world of music from early on. At the age of 16, HONKA took on the EDM scene, working together successfully with established artists, such as Felix Jaehn and Moonbootica. Over the years, HONKA has developed an exceptional skill set playing live, making him a real crowd pleaser. In particular his recent Dance/Trap mashups have received an astonishing response on festivals and clubs alike. After his single „Drope“, together with Felix Jaehn, HONKA’s „WHO WE ARE“ conquered the gaming scene, becoming the official anthem of the legendary E-sports team NIP-Ninjas in Pyjamas. „WHO WE ARE“ hit 2M during the first month. In 2015, HONKA released „Alive“, making it’s way to all of Europe’s major festivals and ultimately laying the basis for HONKA’s success in 2016. Starting off with the Armada Release „Dreamcatcher“, HONKA hit the Beatport Top 20 Charts during the first 5 days, being supported by Nicky Romeo, W&W, Swanky Tunes and many others. Shortly after HONKA started his Germany and London tour as resident DJ for the Holi Festival of Colours, leading to the release oft he world wide Holi Anthem and Holi Compilation 2016. www.soundcloud.com/honkamusic
