Join us and become a Mistaken One." -Aron Crosser Mistaken for Halos first hit the stage in January of 2013 with Aron Crosser behind the mic, Michael Hansen shredding on lead guitar, and Micah Wells hitting the lows on bass. After some reorganization and adjustment to the band formula, the core trio found Jeffry Wolf to be the ticket that solidified drum slot. With high energy driving riffs, a powerful, yet easy to connect with lyrical presence, and a gripping stage performance, the heavy hitting four piece has quickly become a force to be reckoned with. From their very first show, Mistaken has shown a spark that started a fire that continues to rage on. Taking the runner up spot in their third performance at The Afterlife Lounge's Battle of the Bands back in April fueled the drive within to amplify and intensify their role in the Iowa music scene. June provided them with just that opportunity, as they were pitted against some rocks major touring acts in the Rokonnection Stars of the Stage Tournament. A total of 32 bands in a bracket style tournament, put Mistaken for Halos up against the likes of Candlelight Red, Screaming for Silence, and Another Lost Year just to name a few. Mistaken came in with the smallest fan base in the entire tournament, with many believing they would just fall silently into the night, but as the saying goes; it's not the size of the dog in the fight... Rallying major fan support they consistently leaped their opponents and took home the title of champion. Having shared the stage with the likes of SOiL, Nonpoint, Saliva, Dead Horse Trauma, Screaming for Silence, and Prospect Hill the guys have been keeping the schedule packed and there is no slowdown in sight.
