U2

show was pretty decent keep in mind I'm an old school U2 fan and I've seen them live probably about 20 or more times a lot of the emphasis was on newer stuff and Bono seemed preoccupied with entertaining the video camera rather than the audience... it appears that he hardly ever turned to face the accordions with the stage towards the back. setlist was okay only three all the songs that they played with Gloria and an acoustic was scaled down Sunday Bloody Sunday and I will follow. The energy level from the band and or set list was not so high at the show.

My blasphemous post is this: I wasn’t impressed! No songs were running thru my head this morning and I kept thinking during the show “this should be called Lethargy Rock” 😕 Opening with One would have been better than closing with it; created a real sense of BEING there. But hey the faithful will always be that I’m sure 🤔😎

As far as big venues go The Forum is a good one. but, for this show, U2 had an amazing stage, or should I say stages. The main stage, of course, with an aisle, splitting the GA crowd, leading to a smaller, secondary stage. Bono and the boys used all three, the main stage, the aisle, and the secondary stage almost equally, in-other-words there wasn't a bad spot in the venue to be, especially of you were in the GA section, like I was. u2, as always, performed spectacularly, playing a lot of the better known big hits and songs from their last two albums, which are some of their best work. The screens they have all along the aisle tell an amazing story, sometimes giving you a visual for the songs they were playing and other times just a history of the boys and where they grew up or telling you of the charities Bono and the boys are involved in. All in all, this concert was both an aural and visual pleasure, the boys seem to out do themselves each time they come around. Whether you're a U2 fan or not, this show is something you should witness, you can sing along with the songs you know and be in awe of the imagination and brilliance of the U2 team and the spectacular show they deliver.

The show was great. They’re always put on the best shows. But I was hoping to hear more of the bit hit old songs. They played more of the newer songs and it was not balanced between older and newer songs. But love Bono and Edge no matter what. It was nice to see them.

The concert was good but did not live up to my expectations. I have seen U2 at least a dozen times over the last 35 years and this was my least favorite show of them all. They are playing too many less popular songs and they played nothing from their masterpiece “The Joshua Tree”. I did like that they played Staring at the Sun. The energy level of Bono, the band and the crowd were somewhat lacking. As a lifelong die hard fan, I hate to say it but band seems to be “coasting and fading away”.

What a great night! We heard some classic and some of my favorite deep tracks (ACROBAT, Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses)! I loved the fact that U2 is not afraid to play the songs they want in order to showcase the beauty and depth of their music. The journey from innocence to experience was incredible as a concert that compliments and completes the innocence tour. Thank you U2!
