Excellent! Patti & Band were as amazing as they have ever been on both 12/29 & 12/30, 2023. Among the highlights: "Free $Money", "Ain't It Strange", "Land/Horses>Gloria." Thank U Patti, 4 inviting us to your 77th Birthday Celebration!

The all-round artist, especially the rock poetess, Patti Smith, in a theater - Teatro delle Muse (sic!) - with a small band, son Jackson (guitar) & Tony Shanahan (bass guitar, keyboards); in the background photos from her "A Book of Days" - this concert tour is based on it: "A Tour of Italian Days". Quiet songs, more ballads, few political comments, but then, first with "Because the Night" & especially with the encore "People have the Power" and with her "come on, people, get up" and we - sold-out house - jumped up, clapped, sang along. Once again captured by Patti Smith's magic!

About Patti Smith

Patricia Lee Smith (born December 30, 1946 in Chicago) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and artist. Smith is most widely known for the song Because the Night, which was co-written with Bruce Springsteen and reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. In 2005 Patti Smith was named a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture, and in 2007 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
