About Mullage

Mullage /mah läZH/ "2 forces engaged to create a musical collage. Mullage for short..." Mullage is a hip-hop and R&B Supergroup with pop and rock undertones. The duo, Braelon 'B Town' McMullen, and Marquez 'B Boi' Hutchinson hail from Atlanta, GA- College Park to be exact. Even though the pair grew up few miles from each other, it wasn't until they were stationed in Norfolk Virginia, enlisted in the Unites States Navy, that they met. The two were introduced by a mutual friend named Jordy "J-Cool" Lambert, who passed in 2007. On an aircraft carrier during Operation Iraqi Freedom, half way around the world, they begin recording albums and mixtapes as one entity. The pair are no strangers to music or the industry. B Town's mother is a world renowned jazz singer in her own right. B Boi has been in love with music ever since he was a child, and he's always had a way of motivating and uplifting his peers. His life's goal was to just minister that to the masses through music. The name Mullage was inspired by the two words "musical collage." What a befitting name for a group who's eclectic sound echoes Outkast by fusing together smooth R&B, hip hop, pop and rock. This uncommon sound peaked the interest of L.A. Reid who flew them to New York and offered them a deal on the spot. The duo's single "Trick'n" made it's way up Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip Hop songs chart and catapulted Mullage to the forefront of a national audience. The song proved a message to B Town and B Boi "when you have two strong forces that come together, magic is inevitable." "Trick'n" and its accolades is the first of many to come for Mullage. After a brief hiatus, Mullage returned to the music scene with a vengeance. Their newly formed label, Dirty Poetry Music Group "a provocative yet sophisticated form of artistic expression" is set to release their debut single "Bluesville" April 2015. With a reconstructed sound their brand new album "Believers Never Die" showcases so much growth from when they first started. Groups come along often, but it’s so rare to find one where both members see the same vision just as clear as the other. With Mullage there is more than just good music, you get good people seeking to bring more positivity to their audience. Mullage is on the fast track to becoming musical legends. These humbled veterans are about to take the world by storm.
