About The Paperwaits
The Paperwaits are a retro psychedelic rock band from Guildford, England. Formed in 2014 by brothers Thomas and Scott, the Paperwaits set out to write and produce songs inspired by the music of the sun kissed 60s and 70s with a modern twist.
The project came to fruition in 2016 when Scott and Thomas recorded their debut album Greenwood Library at home with the help of some close friends. Taking influence from the Beatles, David Bowie and ELO to name a few.
Later that year, they teamed up with childhood friends Josh Liesicke (bass) and Isaac Dettore (drums) to form a live band and record the singles Where Are We and the Dog Has Been Deleted.
They spent the next few years performing shows in the U.K, played alongside The Real People, Alfie Templeman, Kiran and the revival and friends and collaborators Birdsworth who went on to record and release the single Inside with The Paperwaits in 2018.
After a string of singles, Thomas and Scott set their sights on recording a 7 track EP. Opportunity presented itself in the form of the 2020 Lockdown and so the brothers spent 7 days writing, recording and producing the EP 'Flowers For The Moon'
With Isaac Dettore back behind the drums, The band are currently recording a new 12 track album that is set to release in late 2022 along with a return to live shows in the near future.
