About Bud Collins Trio
Among other inauspicious activities, they appeared on MTV’s basement tapes (Fisticuffs, 1990), and played on the grass courts at the Tennis Hall of fame in Newport RI at the induction of their namesake, tennis great and TV and print journalist Bud Collins.
They have played live with Maceo Parker, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, and Bob Mould among many others.
From 1996 to 2008, the band members split up and went separate ways, but re-formed in late 2008 to once again pursue their unique directions in music.
Working odd hours in a dark laboratory in the woods, and enlisting members from all phases of the band’s existence, they have developed a fresh catalog of all new music that shows renewal and maturity of writing and playing while retaining the original creative energy that has made Bud Collins Trio the only group even remotely of its kind since 1987.
