FLESH hit the Boston music scene in the late 80’s with big guitars, big vocals and yes, big hair. But as the musical landscape changed, they were able to persevere deep into the 90’s. FLESH’s style of hard rock combined with their high energy performances earned them a faithful following. In addition to releasing two CD’s, they signed with EMI Music Publishing, were nominated twice for Best Hard Rock Act by the Boston Music Awards and played a thirty city tour across the US with Extreme. Since disbanding, singer Paulo Bettencourt released a solo CD “Me” and toured with his brother Nuno Bettencourt as guitarist and vocalist. Guitarist Mark Cherone and bass player Stephen Powell formed two bands. SUPERZERO and OK PANIC, releasing three CD’s and touring Japan. Mark recently collaborated with his brother Gary Cherone on a new project called HURTSMILE, releasing a CD and touring the US and Japan. FLESH’s reunion shows draw great audiences as the band members continue to expand on their already impressive body of work.
