Formé en 2006 suite à la rencontre de Reverba et Idra, l’idée de faire un groupe de métal aux sonorités et influences modernes a vite germée pour aboutir à OCTAVION. Le groupe nous offre donc un métal aux sonorités futuristes et cela dans tous les sens du terme : une musique emprunte de puissance, alliant une structure de composition rock, des rythmes emprunt du dancefloor et les lourdes guitares du death metal, ponctuée par des ambiances orchestrales et électroniques. En 2007, Kold, célèbre pour son jeu dans les groupes de métal MISANTHROPE, TRIPLE FX et ALTERNATIVE CULT, rejoint le groupe au poste de batteur. Sa position d’enseignant au Music Academy International (M.A.I.) de Nancy assure pour OCTAVION une section rythmique des plus dévastatrices. Concerts après concerts, avec des groupes tels que SAMAEL, ABORTED, BENIGHTED, KRONOS, DAGOBA, HACRIDE, KLONE, PRIME SINISTER, MASS HYSTERIA, PUNISH YOURSELF…, la route du combo, déjà bien tracée, n’est pas prête de s’arrêter. OCTAVION enregistre son premier album de Janvier à Mars 2008 - CORP. – constitué de 12 titres et sorti 1er Septembre 2008 en autoproduction et sur toutes les plateformes de téléchargement légales. Le 07/10/2013 sortira le nouvel album — The Golden Ratio — un album concept autour du thème de la conspiration, des illuminati et les Créateurs de l’Humanité. Chanson après chanson, le groupe décrit les origines de ce mouvement jusqu’à la mise en place de ce nouvel Ordre Mondial, traversant les temps anciens jusqu’à notre époque contemporaine. Immuable, notre monde semble déjà tracé par une entité mystique omnispresente, tel le Nombre d’Or, régissant subrepticement la notion d’harmonie dans tout ce qui nous entoure... ------------------------------------------ Formed in 2006 following the meeting between Reverba and Idra, the idea to create a metal band with a modern soundshape and influences grows up leading to OCTAVION. The band offers a metal music with futuristic soundshape in every which ways: a powerful music combining a rock structure, dancfloor beats and death metal guitars. In 2007, Kold, famous for his drumming in MISANTHROPE, TRIPLE FX and ALTERNATIVE CULT, join the crew. His position as a drum teacher in the Music Academy International (M.A.I.) and TAMA drums demonstrator ensures a devastating rythm section for OCTAVION. Shows after show, the band shared the stage with bands like SAMAEL, ABORTED, BENIGHTED, KRONOS, DAGOBA, HACRIDE, KLONE, PRIME SINISTER, MASS HYSTERIA, PUNISH YOURSELF… The road is already laid and not planned to be stopped. OCTAVION record its first album - CORP. – and released it in September 2008 as a self-production and available on every legal web streaming/download platforms. On October 7th 2013 will be released their new album - The Golden Ratio - a concept album about the Conspiration theme, Illuminati and the Creators of the Humanity. Tracks after tracks, the band describes the origin of this organisation until the set up of this New World Order, from the ancient to the modern times. Immutable, our world seems to be build by an omniscient mystic entity, as the Golden Ratio, surreptitiously governing the concept of harmony in everything that surrounds us.
