Despite their brief 1 year existence, the Gypsy Wine Cartel quickly established themselves as one of the biggest bands to ever have come out of Aberystwyth with their unique blend of ska, gypsy and folk. The band released 2 singles ('Pirate Song' and 'Damn Fine Pleasure') and an E.P entitled 'Vin de Garde', gaining airplay on BBC radio. The band completed two UK tours in 2013 to promote the releases, tearing venues apart throughout Wales and southern England. During their year of intense live shows the band supported the likes of Gentleman's Dub Club, The Correspondants, Random Hand, Gypsy Hill, ChainSka Brassika and Cartoon Violence as well as ripping it up at the Hootananny Brixton (London), Gypsy Disco (Brighton), the Queen's Hall (Narberth) and Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
