Hi there i would just like to share my concert experience with you guys and hope the organizer (live pass) can improve on the next events. The whole experience from the organizers was very bad. From the day i bought the tickets to the day of the show itself i received very little information on the concert and i hoping this wasn't a scam. No marketing done at all. When we were queueing, there were no proper barricades or lines to direct us where to stand and what not. Ticketing counters were so disorganized, the crews all looked confused and we got a hand teared numbering paper thing after our tickets were scanned, it felt very cheap. The fnb stalls were obviously not well managed as well. The food that were sold is basically school canteen food and they were very slow at attending concert goers. The concert started almost an hour late. The vip meet and greet session was also bad. We felt mistreated as the vip ticket holders having us sit on the floor like primary school kids. Event crew was also rude and not friendly, I have been to Taylor Swift's concert and no event crew treated us that way, they were very friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time. It felt like you guys were just trying to hype us up only during your photos and videos session for your own marketing purposes. The opening set and BLG practically saved you guys from this disaster.

It was a great show! Boys Like Girls promised to deliver to us a concert 30-song setlist(!!!) and they delivered it magnificently! The last time I enjoyed a concert with such enthusiasm was when Muse came to KL last year! I was skeptical at first on why they willingly agreed to come to East Malaysia, let alone KK to perform here, considering the dearth of Western artists would even consider to even do that when KL and/or Singapore are much more accessible for them. But I decided that it was a chance that couldn't be missed and so bought a ticket to go see them. For once, it was the cheapest ticket that I ever bought since I don't even need to cover additional expenses like flight tickets, a hotel room to stay at, and food. All I needed was my car and a parking space LMAO 😂 And apparently, turns out, hundreds of other Sabahans had the same idea as well, and turned up to support the band, enjoy the concert, and proved to BLG that it really was worth coming to KK. That said, I'm still laughing at the fact that Skesh Entertainment picked Hakka Hall of all places as the venue for the band to perform at, as Hakka Hall has long been known by locals as THE place for lots of Malaysian Chinese to do wedding banquets and large scale dinner banquets at. Sure, the hall is large enough to do a concert, but it's not DESIGNED to be a hall to do concerts in the first place. Even the singer Martin Johnson had no idea what Hakka Hall is supposed to be and thought it was a weirdly designed restaurant, which he wasn't far off the truth 😂😂😂 I hope that BLG likes Kota Kinabalu more than enough to come back the next time to perform here. Maybe convince other Western artists to try to come to Sabah to do concerts too. But by that time, hopefully, they should perform at SICC instead, a conference centre which is designed to be able to do concerts there as well.

Event was not properly organised in a sense that it was not on time at all. We were also told that there will be a wristband to collect but there was none. We just got a stamp on our hand. There is also no barricade between the general and VIP tickets. VIP tickets get early access in, yes, but when the general tickets got in, they squeezed their way to the front which I feel the VIP tickets do not get the "VIP" treatment despite paying more. Drinks were too overpriced. Sad there were no merch for sale. Besides that, i do like how they arrange us based on number to enter the hall. well organised on that part. Also good idea to have 2 backdrops to take photos. Staff were helpful and friendly. Venue was good. Aircond was cold enough. Sound system was good too.

About BOYS LIKE GIRLS

Barely out of high school, a group of friends from the suburbs of Boston got on a roller coaster that rocketed them to multi-Platinum success, sold out shows worldwide, nearly a billion streams, and fan adoration - and they still haven’t hopped off. BOYS LIKE GIRLS struck a delicate and dynamic balance between rock, pop, and punk with their (almost) multi-Platinum full-length debut, Boys Like Girls, in 2006. They only refined this signature sound on 2009’s Love Drunk, which clinched #1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart and stormed the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Their catalog expanded with Platinum anthems - “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk” - and the Gold “Hero/Heroine.” Meanwhile, they teamed up with none other than Taylor Swift on the Platinum BMI Award-winning Hot 100 duet “Two Is Better Than One.” All the while, they graced hallowed stages such as Madison Square Garden in addition to selling out tours across the globe and touching down on five continents.

Following four years of dormancy, BOYS LIKE GIRLS celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut with an unforgettable 2016 tour. 2022 saw them return as they were meant to, igniting the stage When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas and hitting the studio.

In 2023, those same friends sound as vibrant, vulnerable, and vital as ever on their fourth full-length offering, SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS. Rife with hooks and heart, it’s the record they were always meant to make and yet another step on their lifelong journey together.
