The Lemonheads

I'm a lifelong fan of The Lemonheads and seeing them live finally was a dream come true. They were absolutely incredible and amazing, an experience that touched my soul. I hope they come back to Australia soon for another tour and The Croxton Bandroom was an excellent venue.

Great concert, however Evan still has issues bantering with the audience. Would’ve loved some kind of connection in between the songs instead of ploughing through all the music.

Was a great show. Done ass made comments that had Evan call it a bit short, but it was great fun.

Long time lemonheads fan. Show was good. Evan was feeling well and excited to play. Band was rockin. Great setlist.

Fun, Energetic and raw show. Revved up versions of most of my favorite songs and a few a covers including Killing Moon from Echo.

So fun and organic and raw and real. Just like a rock show should be. Thank you Evan & The Lemonheads for a killer time.

Great to hear the songs after so many years. And Evan is truly talented. But he plays very unpolished and it feels like you’re watching a rehearsal jam session. Rather rough sounding for a 3 night residency

Kind of bizarre.... Evan was either under the influence of something or just FN around.He sang with a very deep voice on some songs, and the tempo was all over the place! He ended the set singing while playing the drums without the band. Despite that, he still has a charm and liability that makes you want to listen to the great songs he writes and see them performed live. I'll continue to see the Lemmonheads every chance I get !

The Haw River Ballroom is always amazing. Evan Dando and The Lemonheads had been a favorite of mine since I was a teen and I was so excited to finally see him/then perform. It was a total letdown. Evan Dando was extremely intoxicated, maybe high? Who knows. He was mostly incoherent when he’d try to engage the audience between songs, thinking he was at a different venue, and asking about tequila while he drank red wine. I felt genuine concern for his safety during the show, and even more so for his health after. Maybe for the first time in my life, after leaving a show, and re-listening to the music I had heard, i had an overwhelming sense of sadness. It was very unsettling to see a person in such an unwell state. Sending hope for health and happiness to Evan Dando, for music and art and beauty’s sake.

Evan Dando is a living music history book. Thanks for being alive, Evan. The drummer got sick before the Ray sessions, but the amazing Josh filled in and drummed his a$$ off!

Fantastic! Absolutely loved being transported back to the early 90s. Evan Dando - beautiful voice and and amazing song writing.

I liked the venue. The Lemonheads seemed a little off form, and then at the end of a relatively short set they refused to come back for any encore..... disappointing

As always, they (Nor did Evan Dando😍😍😍) fail to disappoint. Though I am biased and could listen to them al day long! Newer stuff amazing... how do they do it?!? Stay relevant in this mush-pot of terrible bands that rip off bands?? Well, flattery, they say... 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nevertheless, there are so many others that pull this off... The Jesus & Mary Chain, Howe Gelb,, Giant Sand, Elvis Costello, The Melvins, X, John Doe, Nine Inch Nails, Patti Smith, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Built To Spill, Slam Dunk, His Eyes Have Fangs!! 🖤 (even bloody Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson & The Rolling Stones just toured!!) Don’t forget Belle and Sebastian, Jonny Marr, Portishead-If you can find them-Depeche Mode, Squeeze, The Libertines, Jarvis Cocker, Charlotte Gainsborough,❤️ etc. Too many to list... But yeah... Evan Dando & the Lemonheads! 👍🏻❤️ So get out there & see some good bands!! 😍😎

Great show as always from the Lemonheads! I saw the setlist as I was right up against the stage and Evan cut out some songs that I was dying to hear. :(

Really good show. I would have liked a bit more engagement from the band, but they cranked out a lot of songs in a short amount of time.

The band were fine but completely disengaged. Felt they were just dialing it in. Loved the venue and enjoyed the support act Tommy Stilson

Great performance! Ran through the back catalogue like a freight train and hardly stopped for breath!! Took me back, brilliant!

Perfect mix of all the best old stuff and great new material. Cover of Teenage Fanclub was a great touch for a Scottish audience in Glasgow. The final encore acoustic version of Frank Mills wrapped up a sublime night

Few bands can make me as happy as the Lemonheads. Sublime song after sublime song. One of the most generous sets I've seen from a band in a long time. A perfect mix of newer stuff, established gems and some of Evan's effortlessly charming solo versions of beloved tunes like Into Your Arms and Outdoor Type. I wish I was hearing it all again tonight.

Evan started off with a bum voice and pulled it together. The Knitting Factory shut the show down at midnight. Dando left the stage still singing.
