About Goodnight Caulfield
Pop/rock alternative/emo quintet Goodnight Caulfield was founded by guitarist/vocalist Adam Cuadra and lead guitarist Joey Meza, best friends since high school. The band name is a reference to Holden Caulfield of the novel The Catcher in the Rye, though the groups says it is “bidding adieu to Caulfield’s style of rebellious pessimism and negativity in order to welcome something more positive.”
“I believe our music paints a real picture of life situations,” says Cuadra. “Our message is be yourself. Life has its ups and downs, so focus on what you are passionate about and go for it.”
The group released their self-titled debut EP in early 2008, followed by a full-length called The Masquerade in 2009. After signing on with Variety Artists, the same agency that books 311 and Incubus, they embarked on a national 43-city tour with Tooth and Nail recording artists Showbread.
After a 4 year hiatus, the Cuadra and Meza have reunited with new members Shaun Walker(Walk the Rio), Cj Akerman(Young Goodman) and Joe Zingone(Taller Young Brother) and reignited a new passion the music they love.
