The Blind Woods

The Blind Woods are a folk/rock powerhouse founded in the depths of a musty sub-basement just below the streets of Boston, MA. Assembled by local folky favorite, Andrea Belanger, the quintet emerged in early 2011 running full speed toward Manchester, TN for their debut gig at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Belanger’s masterfully written laments and spacious, rock-injected melodies pave the way for the incredibly talented and eclectic band to stretch their musical legs behind her delicate and lilting vocals. Inspired by the raw acceptance in Tennessee, The Blind Woods hit the ground running upon their return to the Northeast with gigs in New York City at the infamous Bitter End in Greenwich Village and a coveted appearance on NPR, Boston. Marking the band's two year anniversary in the Fall of 2012 they released their debut EP, Fight the Fall, and took their folky bag of psychedelic tricks on the road with a full frontal tour of the U.S., beginning in Massachusetts, and commencing on the sunny shores of Southern California. In addition to sharing their music, The Blind Woods have made it their mission statement to pair music and activism, volunteering their time to environmental and social justice organizations across the country.
