The Riverside

The band, the hosts, and everything about the music and surroundings was incredible. If you want great folk music, The Riverside is for you. If you want great music...The Riverside is for you.

This was the first House Concert for my wife and me. We of course, didn't know what to expect other than we enjoy listening to The Riverside on YouTube. I will start with the venue which was a private home. The hosts were very welcoming and gracious. Most of the other guests were friends or family members of the hosts but you wouldn't know it by how we were treated. They had prepared a generous assortment of food and drinks. Not knowing what to expect we had eaten dinner beforehand but what we sampled was all very delicious. Listening to (Experiencing) The Riverside in such an intimate setting was very enjoyable. They gave us plenty of opportunities to interact with them. Jake and the other musicians shared us personal accounts and feelings that wouldn't be possible in a more typical setting. The music was performed with expression and sensitivity. I would highly recommend this group and the House Concert experience.

What an unexpected treat. My wife bought tickets just for us and then my whole family ended up going to see them. They were so good and entertaining we went to see them the next night in Bremerton. Talented musicians that have a knack for telling amazing stories through their own style of folksy americana. They put a little twist on the classic style of folk and their vocal harmonies are delicious. If you get a chance to see them, don't miss! You won't be disappointed!

This was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The music was amazing. Getting to meet the musicians was such an added bonus. They're coming back to my area in early June and I'll try to be there. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. xoxoxo

It was a great time! We were all able to sit down and chat before they preformed. They were willing to share their stories about themselves and the band. Very interactive and enjoyable to watch. I hope they are able to come back in the near future!
