About Greg Farley

He would burn his cds and wrap them in free road maps then stamp GF on the front to sell. From the east coast to California and back, he saw landscapes and cities that he never thought he would get to see. Upon returning he was lent a fiddle by a trusted friend, started playing old time and cajun. He joined The Felice Brothers. He played with them for many years, working other jobs in his down time between tours and recording: He mucked stalls on a horse farm, waited tables at a vegetarian restaurant, built a post and beam barn from timbers he felled, he performed tree work, learned traditional forms of woodworking and made chairs. With his music, he decided to strike out on his own. He recored Taker Easy with producer engineer Nick Kinsey. Upon its release in the fall of 2018 Farley got a small trio together; Michael Lesko on drums and Miles Lally on bass. With the neccasary means in place the Greg Farley Band went out to the cities and towns to put on deeply resonating performances at an unyielding pace all through the seasons that followed . A new year approaches in 2020 and Farley has many more stories to be told. " What say ye, will ye splice hands on it now? I think ye do look brave."
