About Autobiography of Man

What comes to mind when you think of Hard Rock? Crunchy guitars? Drummers that play double bass? Catchy lyrics? Autobiography of Man does all of that, and then some. Born in Bergen County, NJ, Mark Mancini has always had a knack for writing music and an affinity for performing in front of people. In 2013, fresh off of a split from local Pop-Core Quintet, Stop Motion Skyline, Mancini began writing a new full length album. The sound was nothing like his previous band. Combining elements of Hard Rock, 80's Metal, Alternative Rock and early-2000's Post Hardcore, the material was in need of a group that could spark its creatively and perform it live. Mark soon met Drummer, Daniel Touw, through a Craigslist ad. The two clicked musically from the start, having many common interests in music. With the help of Mike Green on Lead Guitar and Ryan Struck (When Thieves Are About, YIKES!) on Bass, the band self-produced its debut album to and released it in March of 2013, with some local success. A permanent lineup wasn't solidified until October of the same year, just before the release of their new 4-song EP 'Villains'. Chris Bach joined the band on Lead Vocals and Bass, along with Sean Hagerty II on Lead Guitar. Bach brings a strong tenor voice with a solid low-end foundation, while Hagerty provides intricate, face-melting leads in all the right places. The result is a group of young men, ready to take national music scene by storm. Its a sound balanced with both heavy and light music stylings, as well as both beautiful, clean, melodic vocals and bloody, ruthless, aggressive screams. Heading into 2014, the band is writing a new Full Length Album, and plans to hit record sometime in late Winter. There are also talks to support tours for multiple signed bands. Forget what you've heard about Rock music being dead. Autobiography of Man is both original and a refreshing reminder of the Ghost of Hard Rock's Past. Take a listen. You'll like what you hear.
