Shapeshifter Project

Shapeshifter Project was created in 2011 by Dale Dollar and Ben Nash with the intention of having some fun and writing original music. As riffs were being written and pieced together very quickly it became apparent that the guys needed to find a bassist ASAP. They were looking for someone who was not only a fit musically but personally as well. Only one person had the proper acumen for the job and that person was Nick Pappas. After just one jam session with Nick, Dale and Ben knew they had the foundation for Shapeshifter Project. At this point, the music began to evolve and to morph into complex movements, brilliant riffs, and melodic pieces but something was missing. They needed to find a vocalist. To date, Shapeshifter Project has had three singers, all brilliant frontmen, and lyricists with the vocal ability to tie it all together. Curt Rogers joined the band in early 2017 as vocalist and front man and comes to the band with years of experience from the live music scene in Tallahassee. Dale, Ben, and Nick were excited from Curt's opening note. Curt's vocal range and his ability to hear and to project what the songs need is effortless. Shapeshifter Project strives to write music with more than an air of originality. With the many musical influences they share, their music pays homage to those who have come before while maintaining a sound and style that is uniquely their own.
