Benjamin Carter

Benjamin Carter is a musician and entrepreneur who uses his music to tell stories – heartache and love, addiction and gentrification, even tapping into the years of racial oppression he’s faced – in hopes of developing artists of the next generation do the same.

Originally from the Cayman Islands, he has established himself in both Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, eager to continue to create music and thrive as a businessman and singer/songwriter. Benjamin’s music entwines the eclectic sounds of Neo-Soul and Indie-Pop, influenced by the likes of Bon Iver, Matt Corby, and Daniel Caesar.

Benjamin has performed at the legendary 9:30 Club and has had the opportunity to collaborate with House Studios and Jake Vicious (Faith Evans, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz, Mannywellz) on his recent single entitled "Push". Through Instagram, Benjamin was able to connect with LEVEL (Warner Music distribution) which led to recording and releasing his second single, "Cosmic" with Warner producer Andy Seltzer (Chelsea Cutler, Maggie Rogers, Valley, Fletcher, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League).

This summer, Benjamin will be releasing his highly anticipated debut EP called “Self Portrait, Vol. 1”. Fueled by his relentless enthusiasm and passion, his sights are set on advocating for mental, physical, and spiritual health, as well as artist success through the undeniable power of music.
