Denimor

Denimor is an eclectic band from Turin, Italy with an international attitude. They combine rock music with theatre and circus atmospheres composing fantastic tales set in magic and enchanted places where true feelings and emotions rule. Denimor turn these stories into “melodic undertone sonic” narratives riding rock waves topped with precious symphonic hints. The band embraces the ambience of Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, and Quentin Tarantino’s films, and inspired by the sounds of Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer’s compositions, they give life to a Rock Circus where they perform as the main characters. “Fabulous Fantabulous Circus” is the name of an ambitious artistic project in disguise: a surreal Circus set in the late 19th century. Allegoric characters and musicians in costume introduce the audience to a visionary dimension, where space and time cease to exist. Not only are the spectators actively involved in the show, but they also become a mirror of the characters’ emotions in their search for happiness, as the tale unfolds among hidden dangers and lures. This artistic project started in 2009, and throughout the years has seen remarkable collaborations such as the ones with the world famous quick-change artist Arturo Brachetti, the Italian Master of Magic Luca Bono, and former Cirque Du Soleil artist Igor Matyushenko. The band also played the renowned stages of Heineken Jammin’ Festival 2011, Rock in Roma 2012 (opening act for The Cure) and Sziget festival 2013. Denimor toured outside national boundaries in the spring of 2012 (UK, France and Belgium) and have just finished recording their rock opera at the prestigious Transeuropa Recording studio, with music producer Fabrizio “Cit” Chiapello. Their first single and video 'Wonderful Top Hat' has been released in September, 2013. Their debut CD will be out in 2014.
