About The Bear Hunt

Influenced by emotions and sound characteristics of the 90’s, The Bear Hunt are a Sludge-Pop Group based in Brisbane. With another busy year ahead, TBH currently has a new EP in the works, titled “Fallen on Deaf Ears” due to be released October 2017. The EP was recorded at The Shed Studios by legendary producer Bryce Moorhead (Violent Soho). The lead single "Who Made You God?" showcased a more mature and developed sound, letting their new environment and influences take control, which saw a great response from peers, press, and fans making "Who Made You God?" hit #23 on 4ZZZ’s annual Hot 100. With the success of their debut album "To Be Honest" during 2016, The Bear Hunt shared stages alongside bands like Built to Spill (US), Screamfeeder, Pretty City, Budd, Claws & Organs, The Ninjas, Beneb, and Ekko Park (NZ), as well as appearing at 2016 Teneriffe Festival and Horror Movie Campout. The Bear Hunt’s live shows have a reputation for being loud, raw, and energetic. “Wailing guitars, beating drums and a whole lot of don't mess with me vibes will keep you coming back for more. Bec Wilson's voice is unlike any other in Australian music right now; unique and totally commanding.” Matt Bond – (It’s My Kind of Scene, 2017) "Townsville-bred four-piece The Bear Hunt open proceedings with a slew of thunderous groove-based rockers, a set that's diverse and ambitious in scope and culminates in new single Tropical, which brings things to a close in a heavy-but-alluring squall." - (The Music, Built to Spill @ The Zoo, 2016) The Bear Hunt will tour off the back of their new E.P "Fallen on Deaf Ears" down the east coast of Australia this Oct/Nov, delivering a diverse and ambitious live set, grabbing the punters’ attention by force. So keep your ear to the ground with one eye open for this gut-punchingly impressive band and do yourself a favour by catching them live! Loud, raw, ambient and imperfect symmetry
