Evan Black

Evan grew up in a town right outside of Boston. After leaving college and moving out to Minneapolis, he found himself breaking onto the local music scene teaming up with students from McNally Smith doing back up vocals, hype, and whatever else he could. Teaching himself the techniques of production, mixing and mastering while hustling for gigs and bartending on the side, Evan ended up pursuing rap and put production on hold. Unfortunately as Evan was polishing his talent this was when the Detroit auto industry crashed, and the effects resonated throughout the Midwest. Unable to make enough money to stay in the Twin Cities he went back to Masschusetts and moved into the North End of Boston where continued bartending and writing. While working out his mixing skills he recorded "The Prestige" and then went on to write his first official release "The Arrival." With production from King I Divine and Customary, Evan enlisted heavy hitters Skyzoo, Emilio Rojas and local talent Reks for the album.
