About Purr!

Purr! started in January 2011 as college project between Joey (drums) & Josh (guitar/lead vocal). The band then started writing own material with 2 added members - Sherman (bass) and Ben (rhythm guitar). After writing the first song Every Girls Gay Best Friend the band found a sound they were looking to expand on and performed their first gig outside of college. However, the original line-up then went through a few changes due to travel costs and further education and Emily was brought in to play bass and the band became a trio However, following the writing and self-recording of a set of 10 songs in the course of 2 weeks, the band took a new form and began performing again in local gigs. Since then the band has been gigging virtually non-stop and creating lots and lots and lots of new songs. BOOKINGS - purrtheband@gmail.com
