About The Penni Lawrence Band
Penni Lawrence has performed for live audiences all over the United States. She found her love for performing on her father's country music show, The “Union Mill Opry” (based in Edgerton, MO) which was televised in the St. Joseph regional area.
Penni has been a 3-time state finalist in the national talent competition, the Colgate/Texaco Country Showdown, a finalist for the CMT television show, “Nashville Star” and also was the 1st place winner of the West Texas Idol competition in 2006.
Penni has opened shows for various artists including Tim McGraw, Lee Greenwood, Bryan White, Eli Young Band, and Gene Watson. She has also performed at various events and nation-wide venues, including the world famous “Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge” in Nashville, TN.
Penni’s vocals have the versatility and sultry sound to perform any type of musical genre. Her diversity in material performed (easy-listening country, classic/soft rock, and blues), along with the ability to pull off each style effectively, is unlike other female artists.
Penni is also a talented songwriter, with 3 self-penned songs on her current CD, “It’s About Time”. Her CD was recorded at EMI Studios on Nashville’s historic “Music Row”, and was produced by Nashville songwriter/publisher, Charlie Craig, who co-wrote with Alan Jackson on his #1 hit, “Wanted”.
