ENGLISH / ITALIANO Formed in London at the beginning of 2004 Timecut has released three albums, two of which on the label Valery Records; the latest work is entitled "Things Can Turn Ugly", here are two songs from the album: 
 https://soundcloud.com/timecut/timecut-sore https://soundcloud.com/timecut/timecut-blank Timecut originated from the merger of two important bands of the 90s Italian alternative scene: Hangin' on a thread and Susan Acid. In 2004 Joba (bass) and Deapr (guitar and vocals) formed Timecut in London and released their first album “Exceptions”, which has an immediate positive response from the music insiders. The sound pouring from this work is a mixture of intimate and expressive vocals, heavy riffs, bass and electronics textures close to Gothic & New Wave sounds. In 2006 the band flew back to Italy and drummer Alle taked over. The result is a new intensive work, published in November 2007; the band efforts to find a distinctive sound turned into a new, nameless, obscure work, which was released on November 4th 2007. This one-breath record is a frenetic 10 songs composition, which features old and new stuff. 

 Pianoloud, the first single and “about you selfish" were selected for the application "Gomix" (on the social network Myspace) and quickly reached the top ten most remixed tracks, together with names such as Muse and Placebo, giving new international visibility to the band (myspace: 50,000 fans in two years).
 In November of 2012 the band released the album "Things Can Turn Ugly": for Timecut is a turning point; This record is co-produced and mixed by Disfunction, a team of producers and engineers who previously worked with Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) and Fear Factory. The ability of the band to create deep atmospheres is clear in these new songs more then ever and the collaboration with Disfunction pays back.

In late 2012 the band engaged in a new important collaboration with the project Klogr, recording the EP 'Till You Turn ‘, followed by a 6 months European tour. 
In 2014 Timecut revives its old passion for electronics combined with acoustic sounds; a piano ad a second guitar is added to the line-up, and the band start working to a new unconventional show, close to productions such as FKA Twigs and Puscifer; the new set features new material and revisited covers. Nel 2004 Joba (bassista) e Deapr (chitarrista e vocalist) danno il via al progetto a Londra pubblicando il primo album "Exeptions”, che viene subito accolto positivamente dalla critica inglese. Il sound che caratterizza questo lavoro è una miscela di voci espressive ed intimiste, riff dal taglio pesante, texture di basso ed elettronica a ridosso tra dark e new wave. Bastano pochi mesi per affinare un'armonia compositiva mai riscontrata prima. Nel 2006 il rientro in Italia della band coincide con l'entrata del batterista Alle. Il risultato è un nuovo intenso lavoro, pubblicato nel Novembre 2007; un disco senza titolo e tutto d'un fiato, dall'impronta pesante ma che lascia spazio alle atmosfere cupe e sospese che ormai caratterizzano la band e che ricordano le sonorità di Nine Inch Nails e A Perfect Circle. Nel gennaio 2008 a soli due mesi dall’uscita del disco visibilità e ottime recensioni portano la band all’attenzione di Valery Records, storica etichetta della scena alternativa italiana, e a giugno firmano un contratto che comprende la ristampa di questo secondo lavoro. "Io mi sono emozionato, davanti ai Timecut. Una convergenza sofferta, contaminata e a tinte scure di rock, post-punk e post-industrial. Come uno scontro fra Quicksand e Nine Inch Nails sorretto da possenti atmosfere dark che sfoggia grandi abilità melodiche e ottima capacità di variare le atmosfere e la resa dinamica… " Raoul Duke (Rumore Magazine) Pianoloud, il primo singolo e “bout you selfish” vengono selezionate per l’applicazione “Gomix” (sul social network Myspace) ed in breve tempo entrano nella classifica dei dieci brani più remixati assieme Muse e Placebo, ottenendo così visibilità e seguito a livello internazionale (myspace: 50.000 fans in due anni). Dopo un lungo periodo di composizione, nel novembre del 2012 il nuovo materiale prende forma in un nuovo disco, "Things Can Turn Ugly”: è l’album della conferma e vede Ste (Zeroin band) alla batteria; viene co-prodotto e mixato presso lo studio Zeta Factory da Disfunction, team che vanta collaborazioni illustri come Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) e Fear Factory, e masterizzato presso il Massive Arts di Milano. La maturità compositiva della band è ormai evidente e la scelta di collaborare con Disfunction si rivela un successo. Seguirà un tour di date in Italia ed in Europa che vede impegnate entrambe le formazioni per tutto il 2013. Nel 2014 si apre un nuovo capitolo per i Timecut, che riscoprono le possibilità espressive dell’elettronica unite a sonorità acustiche: nasce quindi un nuovo set con l’aggiunta del piano ed una chitarra, uno show minimale che si avvicina a produzioni come Fka Twings e Puscifer, elegante e non convenzionale, e che fonde brani inediti ad altri di autori noti rivisitati. Largo spazio all'espressività vocale vicina all'universo di Jeff Buckley e all'imprevedibilità di scelte armoniche e sonore che rendono originali anche le tracce più conosciute.
