Sha Summers

The Artist by the name of Shakor Sommers, (a.k.a.) Sha Summers, was born in Brooklyn, New York, and as soon as he turned 9 he migrated to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Shakor started writing music at the age of 12. He considered himself to be a very shy, quite, and not the most popular person around. He in fact got pick on quiet often, so he use to use his everyday, not so appealing life as inspiration for every song he wrote. Shakor felt as though he had a lot to say and he used his music to get his point across. He is more then a poet, or a Hip Hop artist; he is a storyteller. Over the years Sha Summers, started to see progress in his music and at the age of 18 Shakor finally started to receive a little bit of notice in VA for his work. Over time, Sha began to get a lot of positive feedback from people all over which lead him to perform at The Norva, Urban Latino Radio, Tide Water Community College Fashion Show, and The Lyve Lyfe Entertainment Indie Showcase where he became a grand prize winner of the event. A year after graduating from High school, Shakor moved to New York City due to receiving a Basketball Scholarship to Molloy College. Shakor is also a very talented Graphic Designer, although music will always be his only passion. He is also a Producer & Songwriter. He dropped his first mixtape summer of 2010 entitled “Hotter Then My Last Name” which pushed over 300 Downloads in just two days, over five Thousand to this day, pretty good numbers for a local artist.
