About Ed Hale

Official Facebook page for singer/songwriter Ed Hale who sings and plays guitar in the power-pop/ indie-rock band ED HALE AND THE TRANSCENDENCE and also records and releases the occasional solo album. Nine albums in and no sign of slowing down, their albums can be purchased wherever music is sold such as Amazon.com, your local music store if you can still find one, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, MSN Music, Yahoo Music, CDBaby.com, etc. Hale is known as much for his prolific songwriting as he is for his "skating across genres like thin ice" eclecticness - traversing musical styles so much that it is hard to pinpoint just WHAT his sound is on any given album, let alone in his 15+ year career as a recording artist. He is also known for his occasionally controversial, thought provoking, and outrageous rants and skits on his YouTube channel TranscendentTV, his love of travel, study, learning, spirituality, other cultures and world musics, and his ten years and running blog The Transcendence Diaries. Hale speaks five languages, attempts to speak eight - though does so quite poorly, loves sharing world culture with friends and fans, fighting alongside them for truth, love, justice, freedom, art, beauty, human rights, & civil liberties. He currently writes a weekly guest blog for the Sundance Film Channel and is in the process of finishing several new books due out in 2012, most notably his much anticipated We Are The Revolution: Welcome to Age of Personal Expression. Ed Hale and The Transcendence has just released their new album, the moody operatic rock epic entitled All Your Heroes Become Villains. Ed Hale's new solo album Ballad On Third Avenue is out now and available wherever music is sold. Head to www.edhale.com or the band's website www.transcendence.com for more or to sign up for their email list. New ED HALE & THE TRANSCENDENCE album THE GREAT MISTAKE is now avail on iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify, Pandora, local retail stores & wherever music is sold or streaming
