High Hopes Band

The High Hopes Band is the premiere modern roots reggae band in New England, and have been presented the 2015 Best Band in State of Massachusetts award by the New England Music Awards. High Hopes Band pulls from the paths of many golden-era reggae musicians — Jamaican artists of the late 60s-early 70s who drew upon the Motown, country/Americana, and rock & blues movements of their time — and aims to fuse that classic, orthodox sound with today’s current styles. The result is an amalgam of genres: sweet hints of R&B, soul, and jazz music matched with spicy influences from second-generation Jamaican musicians. High Hopes has provided direct tour support in the Northeast & New York, to a variety of well known reggae artists such as multi Grammy Award winning Ziggy Marley, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Easy Star All-Stars, Freddie McGregor, Maxi Priest & Midnite, to name some. In the Fall of 2014, their album release, "Forever Love," reached #35 in the Itunes top 100 all-time reggae albums charts. The group has been in different amalgamations for the last 10 years, with the newest lineup coming into being in 2016. Conscious roots reggae with a 70's esque vibe.
