5 Minute Rule

5 Minute Rule is a 4-piece, rock n roll cover band based in Madison, WI. The band cranks out many of the 90’s alternative rock hits while mixing in crazy versions of songs by artists ranging from Paul Simon to the Dixie Chicks, all infused with a heavy dose of 5MR rock! Showing what a craigslist ad and a basement can do, 5 Minute Rule soon began taking names at benefits, park festivals and the local bar scene, sharing the stage with some of the areas best. The band continues to expand their song repertoire, tighten their sound and assemble a faithful legion of “Rulers” at every show. Come to any 5 Minute Rule show and you’ll succumb to the powerful lead vocals over searing guitars, indicating that this is a high energy rock show. You will pay homage to the rock solid pocket and thumping bass lines that make it mandatory to get those bottoms shaking. It is the Rule! Let the face melting and paint peeling commence!
