About The Blaster Master

The Blaster Master is a Ska band with 'forca!' from Oulu, Finland. The city has a reputation for its cold winters and angst-filled bands, but this posse is totally different! The Blaster Master is all about an enormous lust for life, and the joyful, cartoonish sounds always sets the checkered dancefloor on fire. The Blaster Master formed in 1996, and has since then released four fullength albums (Skanga 1997, Skandinista 2000, Tuffer than Roots 2005 and Rude Boy Life 2008). They have also released numerous singles and have appeared on various international ska compilations from Burning Heart, Step Aside and Pork Pie. As the years have passed, The Blaster Master is now the most recognised ska group in Finland. The Blaster Master has played almost every big music festival in Finland, as well as a lot of shows around Scandinavia and Northern Europe. During the last three years, the band has played shows in Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Czech Repbublic, Austria and France. Now the band has released their new album 'Rude Boy Life" on Bale Records and as a result of this, there are numerous gigs around Europe in the pipe. Watch out for Blaster Master in 2009 and you'll soon be caught by this joyful outfit from Finland! http://open.spotify.com/artist/3P49Tzk2RUmVvrnw2jd3UE www.myspace.com/theblastermaster
