The Vernons

The Gold Coast is not generally a place touted for its creation of blues-influenced rock bands. In this case, however, the coastal party mecca is the hometown of an up and coming band whose music is breathing fresh life into an often overlooked art form. The new sound produced by The Vernons is one that pays great respect to times gone by, but adapts to the fast-paced modern world that exists today. These lads are tackling the Australian music scene head on. Best described as: A group of mates, sculpting their sound from belligerent nights out, hungover days in, and their parents' old vinyl records.
