Emmas Ringer

EMMAS RINGER is an alternative rock trio from Ottawa, Ontario. Originally founded in the early 2000’s, the band re-formed as a two-man group in 2011, consisting of Scott Maybee on vocals and guitar, and Scott McCooeye on keyboards. The duo released their first EP “The Spirits Will Guide” in the summer of 2011, before recruiting drummer Owen Coffin as a permanent member of the band. They were featured in the top 15 bands for the 2012 LiVE 88.5 Big Money Shot, and have since developed a solid fan-based by playing local and out of town shows, and organizing events to promote independent music in the Ottawa area. Their music is inspired primarily by 90’s alternative rock, noting such influences as Beck, The Smashing Pumpkins, The White Stripes and Soundgarden, while at the same time developing a sound completely their own.
