Bluey Robinson

Bluey Robinson was born in Stockholm, Sweden and is of mixed Indian, Trinidadian and Swedish heritage. He moved to Hackney at 3 months old and was raised by his mother. He discovered his passion for music at the age of three, listening to old Motown, Soul and Reggae records on the home vinyl turntable at home. While in school, Bluey took part in many school performances and attended classical Indian dance classes at lunch time. He was asked to perform these dances at a special event for Prince Charles and after doing so, his dance teacher, impressed by his passion, suggested he audition for the role of 'Young Simba,' in the upcoming West End debut of 'The Lion King.' At 12 years old, he earned the role. This cemented his passion for music and the arts. In 2004, Bluey also briefly played Billie Jackson on the BBC soap opera Eastenders and had roles in numerous TV ads and dramas. As music had always been his number one calling. Focussed on making a name for himself, Bluey earned his recognition through Youtube by uploading videos of himself singing Stevie Wonder, Boyz To Men and Motown classics to unsuspecting commuters on the streets and underground services of London, Paris and New York. Eventually earning millions of views, he soon caught the attention of label and industry heads. Robinson later landed a deal with Sony, RCA in 2011. However, after a troubled run, Bluey was released from his contract two years later due to internal changes and difficulties. Undeterred, he then went on to release 2 independent projects and even completed his own UK tour 'The Late Shift Tour.' He was also the main opening act on Justin Bieber's My World Tour (European Leg) and supported both, Trey Songz and Tinie Tempah on theirs in the UK.
