About Daniel Moir

Daniel Moir is a Canadian singer/songwriter/producer/artist who resides in Vancouver, and has currently released four solo albums. Daniel has played at numerous festivals and conferences, and has toured extensively in both Canada and the United States. Daniel has toured with artists like (Grapes of Wrath vocalist/guitarist) Kevin Kane, and performed with artists locally like Kathleen Edwards, Shad and Timber Timbre. His songs have seen chart positions on college radio and placements with NBC, with his song "Change the World" (solo release "the Country and the Sea") appearing in the season finale of the hit American TV series "Mercy". His latest release, "Swing and Sway" is a treat for the senses. Daniel paints pictures of nostalgia and loss while capturing sensations that we have all experienced before, but have failed to put into words. An entirely self-produced effort, Daniel handled everything from the production, mixing engineering and even the cover art of "Swing and Sway". The album has received widespread airplay from the CBC, and has garnered attention from press like Exclaim and the Edmonton Journal, who gave the album 4/5 stars. Daniel's sophomore release, Road, has been compared to Eddie Vedder, Rufus Wainwright and even The Beatles. An alternative folk trip that takes the listener on a quasi-cinematic journey through the great Canadian landscape (Discorder Magazine), Road was produced by Juno-winning producer Russell Broom (Jan Arden, Sam Roberts), and was co-engineered by David Kean (Bjork, Audities Foundation). Canadian musician/artist residing in Vancouver. Quirky alt/folk inspired by life.
