Toad the Wet Sprocket

Not sure why my rating came in at 4 1/2 but it was a 5!! Best toad show we’ve ever seen. We’ve seen them about 10 times in California, Tahoe, Arizona and twice in Iowa. Their music means a lot to us since 1990 and I just fell for the love of my life in a tent in Mendocino Ca listening to toad♥️ Still together after all these years and loving seeing your shows. Thank you Toad

Las Vegas heat is no joke, however, there are places to cool off, ABC store to purchase cold water, and the crowd was fun. It felt safe, tons of stimulating lights, zipline, and noises creates excitement and energy. The sound for the concert was great, clearly hear the vocals, and songs from a wide variety of the albums Toad has made over the years.

I've seen Glen and Toad the Wet Sprocket probably around 30 times but never in my hometown of Reading, PA. It was great to see them at the Santander Performing Arts Center. That venue's always comfy and classy. KT Tunstell and Sixpence Non the Richer were great musicians and KT was very entertaining. Toad was less talkative than normal but on top of their game with how they sounded. I heard one or two I don't think I've ever heard performed live. I liked them mixing in some of the newer stuff. And I loved the new spin/reinvention on some of the songs with giving them an older, twangier sound. The stage light show was amazing and perfect for the music.

Toad was absolutely outstanding! I had seen them 4 previous times and each of those included Randy Guss. I wondered how a different drummer would change the dynamic. I will miss Randy for who he is, but the new drummer was great and changed the vibe up. ' Of the 5 encounters, this was the best! The music was basically non-stop. The version of "Good Intentions" was flat out FUN. The band was tight. Glen's voice was on it, so was Todd's on "Crazy Life" and Dean keeps it fun and his joining in the drum solo (duet?) was awesome.

Awesome venue, perfect weather, and an absolute perfect show. With Toad headlining, the show was exactly what I had hoped for; I hadn’t seen some of the songs on the set list played live, so I was thrilled. The band, as always, played the 90s hits but also their newer songs. It was the best show I’ve seen in years - just magical. The best part? Singing along with my adult daughter to Transient Whales. Thank you for bringing the magic time and time again.

Show started with Sixpence None The Richer. They were fantastic. Second up was The Jayhawks. They didn't play the genre of music I like, so I basically just sat through it. When Toad The Wet Sprocket came out the building went nuts. They did a lot of the songs they have done at past concerts. I was thrilled that they did accoustic songs, and songs with different tempos. I would sit and watch the whole thing again tonight. Loved it!

This was a bucket lister for me. Have been a Toad fan from the beginning. Only disappointment was they didn’t play long enough. But they were fantastic and hearing “Something’s Always Wrong “ live was a dream come true. Would love to see them sometime when they are headlining or by themselves so they play longer. Hope they will be returning here or better yet to Northern Virginia.

Venue provided intimate setting for a great show. Toad the Wet Sprocket was fantastic. Playing some of the lesser know songs during start of show and then ramping up to the hits in 2nd half of show. Highlights include a drum solo with 2 guys on the same set of drums in perfect synchronization. The opener Jacko-Pierce was also very good but this did leave me to my one complaint, with older bands come older crowds, and there is not much crowd participation. Most don't stand for the bulk of the show and I actually feel bad for the artists as there isn't the energy you crave/need from the crowd. Otherwise outstanding show and would highly recommend the venue and both artists.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is, hands-down, my all-time favorite band. I always wanted to see them in concert, but never got the chance. Life happened and time marched on. I crept "over the hill" this year. As out of touch that I feel at times, this concert brought back complete nostalgia. My husband went with me to this concert. He only remembered Toad from the radio year's ago, so I thought he might not enjoy himself. I was wrong! He very much enjoyed enjoyed the concert! It was fun to share the experience with him. I now hear Toad jamming from his truck, his office, the garage, and while he's in the shower. He is always calling me into his office to show me a video of an interview with the band or some fact I might not know. The Granada Theater couldn't have been a better place to see my favorite band...and being 50 was the perfect age to do it!

Out of the nearly 100+ Toad shows I have seen in the past 30 years, this was truly one of the most memorable and thoroughly enjoyable shows with an incredible set list. Songs spanned their entire career and highlighted some of their best known songs. Crowd had amazing energy, and everyone was friendly and interactive. The VIP experience was lovely and the Royal Oak MT is always a great place to see a show.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is one of the best bands to see live. The overall production and quality of their shows are second to none. The band’s musicianship and vocals are top-notch; they know how to engage a crowd! The VIP option they offer prior to their shows is always fantastic; Glen, Todd, and Dean are so kind to provide a little extra time to spend with fans and play some acoustic songs, take pictures, and answer questions. The Fillmore is a great venue; I’ve been to standing room only shows as well as seated shows. I find that for certain reserved seating performances, there should be sections that allow for standing, and sections that don’t, so those who want/need to sit can still have a great experience, while those who love to get up and sing along can do that without infringing on the experience of those who remain seated.

Both Bands were absolutely fantastic. Sound was great, and the venue was perfect. Great crowd. You could leave your seat and be back to your seat within 2 min with drink/souvenir in hand. Best Toad the Wet Sprocket concert I have ever been to. I can't stress enough how good both bands were. Shout out to The Verve Pipe.

Glen Phillips & Company have gotten better and better over the years. I last saw them in 1989 at the Kennel Club in SF on a weeknight and there might have been 20 people there. Last night it felt like a private performance even in a venue that holds nearly 1300 people we each felt like the only ones in the audience and the band freely chatted with us and made us feel involved in the set. They then went all acoustic for a few songs and it's made some tunes even more powerful. The set was a great balance of new and classic, while not missing a single hit. (I wanted to hear "Come Back Down" but I realize I'm an outlier) Will always love these guys and can't wait to see them again sometime.

These guys!!! Still rocking it good, baby!! Amazing talent all around! So happy to have finally after over 30 years seen them live!! And what a show it was!! The meet and greet was warm and fun! I cant wait for new stuff and to see them EVERY YEAR THEY TOUR FROM HERE ON OUT! I really want to see IN MY EAR and CHILE!! This venue was pretty great as well! THANK YOU TOAD!!!

This hit all the right “notes”. A whopping 5 songs from Fear (my favorite album). If anything, I would love to have heard more from the newest album - Game Day, Transient Whales. I love love LOVED the Blue Grass portion. Good Intentions was perfect. I loved the nod to the Indigo Girls who defined the “folk-alt” genre in the playing of Closer I am to Fine. They, of course, hail from Ohio. I Will Not Take These Things for Granted is the quintessential closer and I was happy to hear it.

The bands were fantastic. Great music. The venue however left a bit to be desired. The AC wasn't working causing the theater to boil in human heat! Add the dancing manic, who apparently got off on TTWS, and his encroachment into my girlfriend's space, made for an interesting evening experience. The couple to our left bought seats 11 and 12. Unfortunately, there wasn't a chair located in the spot for seat 12. The remedy by the venue . . .a metal folding chair!

As I told my friends when I got back from the show, if you come home from a Toad show in a bad mood, something is wrong with you. They're awesome to see live! This was my first time at the Coach House. I like that it's fairly small. I'd read reviews about the food being crazy expensive and not that great. So I did what someone suggested and ate beforehand nearby and then just had dessert to fulfill my food minimum. (If you make dinner reservations, you get preferred seating.)

I have been a TTWS fan since 1991's Fear album was released. They came to my college campus, University of Alabama in Huntsville, during the tour for that album. I fell in love with Glen Phillips then. Since then I purchased all of their albums, including their first two, Bread and Circus and Pale. I saw Glen during his solo career when he played in Birmingham, AL. I was totally bummed though when they split up. But when they got back together and released their newest album, New Constellation, I purchased it and have seen their concerts at the Dallas House of Blues the past several years here. Last night's concert was amazing as usual. I will continue to buy any future albums and attend concerts as long as they are together and tour. The thing I love best about TTWS are the lyrics. Glen is truly a poet and is definitely underrated. Please keep making music and touring. Love you guys! ❤️

It was a great memory and experience for me. I was 58 and I had been a huge Toad the Wet Sprocket fan since 1991, when the “fear” album was released. I loved it (and still do)! I’ve purchased everything they released before and after that time. I have also purchased all that is available from Glen Phillips’ solo work plus his joint projects, Todd’s work with Lapdog, and most recently, Dean’s work with State Flower. However, I had not seen them in concert prior to this show. I also paid extra for the VIP Meet and Greet Experience with them. That was well worth the extra money, as I got to meet, talk and have pictures taken with Todd, Glen and Dean. They also played a wonderful three song acoustic session just for the VIP guests. They were very cordial, yet informal. Unfortunately, due to health issues, Randy was not able to tour with the band for the second consecutive summer tour. Josh Daubin did a great job on drums and long time friend, Jonathan Kingham, playing keyboards, slide guitar and also helped out with background vocals. Prior to Toad’s concert, the former lead singer for “Sixpence None the Richer,” Leigh Nash, performed a beautiful six song set with her husband on guitar. Toad then played a number of old hits, as well as newer ones from “New Constellation” and “Architect of the Ruin.” It was a great concert in a great venue and I couldn’t be happier. My adrenaline rush lasted at least a week past the concert. I cannot wait until August 18, 2019 when I will meet and see/hear them again in Cary, North Carolina, as they play at Koka Booth Amphitheatre. They will be equal co-headliners with Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Hope to see some fellow Facebook friends, who also take part in the Toad and Glen Facebook fan groups!

The concert itself was excellent but the crowd was a bunch of drunks that spent the entire concert bumping into people as then went to either get a beer or to the restroom to empty the beer. People were being served alcohol that could barely walk. I doubt that I will ever go to the venue again. Love the location and the acts they have but I had to physically move my wife out of the way of all the drunks walking around. I know that she will never go there again.
