A Cast of Shadows

A Cast of Shadows (ACOS) was formed in February 2012. After playing their debut show at Reckless Fest with the likes of Asking Alexandria, Attila, Motionless In White, and Chelsea Grin, They parted ways with their drummer and rhythm guitarist, who then went on to form the band Fall Together. They went on to play shows with a series of drummers before finally landing Adam Frazier in the fall, who would prove to be a crucial element to the band. Things were going smoothly until the new rhythm guitarist decided to not show up to a gig, leaving Jesse Sullivan to take on sole responsibility as both rhythm and lead guitar. What appeared to be disaster on the horizon, turned out to be the bands crowning performance. One could say that this is where A Cast of Shadows was truly born. Since then they have been blazing a trail, with no signs of slowing down, sharing the stage with bands such as Miss May I, Texas In July, Ice Nine Kills, Volumes and many more. They take the basic ingredients, and put a spin on the recipe of a seemingly exhausted genre. With unrelenting screams accompanying heavy and driving yet melodic guitar riffs, tasty, creative breakdowns and catchy choruses, they are anything but your run-of-the-mill cookie cutter band. ACOS is constantly striving for greatness in every aspect of their craft. 2013 has indeed been a busy year for the guys. They are currently in the studio recording their first ever EP tentatively titled "Synchronicity" with Brandon Cagle, of Whitechapel fame as producer, and is slated for a fall release. With every intention of taking over the world, A Cast of Shadows will definitely be a band to keep both eyes out for. ` We represent lost ideals of freedom
