About John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers

(January 1963 - )
John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers were the first major non-American blues band to get major global recognition. Its line-up, at one time or another, included musical pioneers such as Eric Clapton, most of the members of Fleetwood Mac, Mick Taylor of The Rolling Stones, and, of course, John Mayall himself. The Bluesbreakers were a very influential band and had an impact on both the blues sound of the 1960s and on British rock n' roll.

The Bluesbreakers continue to record and perform today. Their latest release was the 2007 album 'In The Palace Of The King'.John recorded a great concert on his 70th Birthday and played with Clapton again.
