About Rebecca Lowe
On stage, Rebecca Lowe is best known for her roles in the musicals Evita and Jekyll & Hyde. Booked right out of college, and as the youngest actress to perform the role of Eva Peron in “Evita", she received standing ovations and critical acclaim throughout North America and Europe.
At age 6, before the introduction of streaming music, she started sneaking tape recorders into Disney movies to record the songs. She was influenced by all types of music ranging from Herb Alpert and Roger Miller to Julie Andrews and The Carpenters. While earning Marketing & Theatre Arts Degrees from Texas Christian University, she sang in a Blues Band in and around Ft. Worth, Texas. Booked right out of college at the acclaimed Music Theatre of Wichita as Peron’s Mistress, she followed with a year’s tour of Europe in the same role, soon playing the title role. She appeared in Los Angeles in the title role of Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde, receiving a Robby Award nomination. She has also played title roles in Gypsy, Bye, Bye Birdie, Arsenic and Old Lace, Personals, Grease, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
If you listen to children’s music on Pandora or Spotify, chances are you’ve heard her singing ballads off her popular album “Goodnight, My Someone.” And although her ties to Broadway music run deep, her Texas roots color her live performances with her down-home personality & affinity for story telling.
Since 2002, Rebecca has been performing as a headliner for various cruise lines throughout the world such as Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess, Oceania, Silversea and Crystal. Known for crystal clear voice and big Broadway belt, her concerts are engaging & entertaining, incorporating her musical theatre background as well as popular & country music.
Having lived in the bustling cites of New York and Los Angeles, this native Texan now calls Nashville, Tennessee home where she lives with her husband, Polish born vibraphone virtuoso KUBA (Kuba Kawnik) and their daughter Rozalia. Rebecca enjoys staying in touch with fans & invites you to visit her personally and professionally through social media, on YouTube at www.youtube.com/beckaboard & her websites www.rebeccalowe.com & www.kubecca.com where you can check out her performance schedule, videos and music.
