The Bacon Brothers

Wow! What an evening! Rain was still falling lightly as we took our seats. The stars came out as the Pernikoff Brothers took the stage. The Pernikoff Brothers brought their best music with them. The band's energy spread out into the audience. The Pernikoff Brothers shared their original heart-felt music and included a rockin' rendition of the Beatles "Eleanor Rigby". The Pernikoff Brothers were a great opening act for the headliners, another band of brothers, The Bacon Brothers. The Bacon Brothers Band, leading with brothers Kevin and Michael, brought more energy forth to share with their audience.Songs like "Take Off This Tatoo", sharing that feeling of memories of a person gone from your life, but not from your thoughts, hit home. The evening passed quickly as each band member was given an opportunity to shine. The evening closed with The Pernikoff Brothers joining the Bacon Brothers Band on stage for a rousing rendition of "Footloose". The song, originally sung by Kenny Loggins for the movie of the same name never sounded better than that night with the brothers on stage. A few words about the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater...what a wonderful venue! Built on the shores of Lake Decatur in Illinois, the venue holds maybe 3000 ticketholders.The tickets are reasonable; the venue has assigned seats near the stage and a lawn venue for folks with blankets in the rear. Concessions are available. The Beach House, a restaurant, is nearby on the lake. We had hoped to dine at the Beach House prior to the concert,but rain derailed our plans. We look forward to next year's schedule and our next trip to the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater.

Doors opened at 5 pm for 6:30 pm concert start. Then there were two warmup bands before the Bacon Bros came put at 8:30 pm. At that point, I was so tired of sitting thru the hot temps and rain that I left a half hour after they started. Disappointing. I had no idea there would be warmup bands for two hours.

Loved both the show and the venue! It was our first time seeing the Bacon Brothers live, and our first time at the Newton Performing Arts Center. Kevin has the name recognition and is a talented musician. Michael is a gifted musician in his own right. I don't think there is anything with strings he can't play. We would have liked them to play a little longer. I was hoping to hear It's a Philly Thing. We loved everything they played though and look forward to seeing them again. Thrilled they came to North Carolina!

The Bacon Brothers were fabulous! I got tickets to the show only really knowing the skits that Kevin Bacon had done with Jimmy Fallon, and what he sings to his goats, and with his wife! The 5 man band played for about 1 1/2 hours- just the right amount of talking, and tons of songs. The songwriting was really catchy so even after hearing a chorus you could sing right along. The encore was the icing on the cake. We loved the back stories to the songs. Each song was so unique and such a mix of styles, fast and slow. You can tell that Micheal and Kevin truly love to perform together and music runs in their blood. The talent of all members was obvious. What a treat to experience this concert in an intimate setting. You could tell the mostly 50+ people wanted to get up to dance, but the audience was polite- and didn't want to block the view of those who wished to sit. The Arcada Theatre is a pretty special place. As first timers, it was amazing along with all the staff members and security too.

Two more fantastic shows! The lead guitarist, Tim Quick, adds a whole new dimension to their already marvelous catalogue of songs. Tim's interpretation of the song "Live with the Lie" is Buddy Guy quality! Paul's stage presence is so much fun to watch! Frank Vilardi keeps the songs tight and driven. The brothers are always fun, funny, and entertaining. Already looking forward to the next time they come through the Chicagoland area!

Show was engaging and fun! We're metal heads and this was one of the funnest shows I've been to! The weather cooperated (🤯) and we had a blast!! Entering was easy and exiting was just as smooth. Getting out of the parking lot was even a breeze! Loved the tents for merch, drinks, food, and raffles. Lines went quickly and there was plenty of everything for everyone. What a great time! The Bacon Brothers were the best, we would DEFINITELY go see them again, so fun!!

Great show! Kevin and Michael are both so talented and humorous! Very engaging with the audience as well. Had never listened to any of their music before and couldn’t have been happier that I went to the show. Coach House is such a great, historic venue!

The Bacon Brothers band was fantastic I was in F row seats 20 21 an 22 I wish yall did a meet and greet it would be great to see them again can't wait I live in sunrise Beach Missouri drove 5 hours to see them and Kevin was fantastic thanks Terry Johnston

AWESOME!! Best concert ever! Great venue...great food and drink service...incredible music!! Every time I think about that night I smile! Please come South, Bacon Brothers, so I can hear your play again!

I was unsure of what to expect from the Bacon Brothers musically prior to attending this concert. But the musical delights they presented were both diverse and high quality. There were even some sing-a-longs like “Just Like My Old Bronco”. It was obvious that they enjoy playing together as a band, and the bassist, lead guitar player and drummer were all excellent musicians. Lastly, if you are wondering if they do a rendition of Kenny Logins’ song “Footloose” during their performance, all I can say is catch them live the next time they are in your area.

One of the best shows I've seen. I enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend it. If I ever have the chance to see it again I definitely would. I gave it a 5 star rating but it deserves a lot more. Thanks for a great end to my Father's Day!

Outstanding performance! Enjoyed the diverse and broad range of musical talents given by each band member. The set list was very balanced and covered many genre while introducing new material. Loved every minute!

Worth the trip to see a great show at one of my favorite venues. Opening act Cindy was great and the Bacon Brothers were awesome. Funny and talented these 2 with their band did not disappoint. I have most of their music and was thrilled to hear some of my favorites LIVE ending with Footloose. Hope you bring them back again!

I drove five hours ( from Albuquerque) to see the Bacon Brothers in Lubbock Texas and boy was it worth the effort . The concert was delightful , joyful and the brothers were generous in there sharing of stories and talent . The whole band put on a show that was a thrill ! thank you ~ Now , if you were would only play in New Mexico ~ the Land of Enchantment !

We loved the show! The music was sooo good and I wanted to dance but could not because we were confined to our chairs. We loved that the brothers were very open to talking to the audeince and not stuffy. But truly, their music was fantastic and I hope they come back to this area of Maine again!

Fantastic night - great venue. The food was delicious and such a quaint setting. The performance of the Bacon Brothers and the band - superb. Learned they are a multi talented group with original songs and musical talents. A fun evening! Looking forward to future opportunities to hear them in person again - till then, a cd will have to do!

this is the 5th bacon brothers show and they never let me down. i have introduced so many of our friends to The Bacon Brothers over the years. they are so entertaining. love their style, their sound. especially the harmony between the entire band. and of course love seeing kevin dancing across the stage. the encore of footloose had every one on their feet dancing and singing along. the only disappointment was not hearing Jersey Girl and The mummers song New Year's Day in tribute to all the NJ And Philly fans in the audience. ironically when we left the music pier on tuesday the actual Mummers were doing a set on the board walk. would have been kool if the bacon brothers had stepped out and joined the mummers strutting the ocean city board walk

The Bacon Brothers were amazing. Pure talent with their singing and the instruments they play. Didn’t like the opening act. I couldn’t understand any of the words to their songs. Were they to close to their mikes are bad mikes. Very tinny sounding The Waterville Opera House is very nice.

The Bacon Brothers were great. The food at the City Winery was not good. The tables were too close and the man behind me kept banging my chair. When I asked him to move back a little his girlfriend called me “fat”.

This was my 1st time to the Beacon and 1st time seeing the Bacon Brother's and I had a great time!! Tickets and snacks at the theater were reasonably priced and I got the meet and greet with the band before the show <3
