Travis Tritt

Travis Tritt and his band put on an amazing concert at West Virginia State Fair! The crowd loved him and it was a packed venue. He has been my favorite country singer since I was a little kid and I’m 39 now. I was finally able to see him in concert for the first time and he did not disappoint! I only wish I would have bought tickets sooner so I could have been closer to the stage but at least I was able to go and that’s all that matters to me.

Absolutely awesome show, except for one thing. He didn’t sing “Anymore”! Arguably one of his biggest songs. Surprised my wife with the bucket list concert of her dreams for her 40th and we were both left unsatisfied. We have spent countless nights debating the context and meaning of the song, and were expecting to hear it. Disappointed is an understatement. Travis puts on a great show and genuinely seemed to be having a great time and interacting with the crowd.

It was a spectacular evening listening to Travis fill the room with his great vocals along with his masterful playing on his acoustic Martin guitar. While I have only seen a handful of artists that could perform their music as a solo artist, this old Georgia boy can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of them. He is a natural entertainer who invites and welcomes his audience in to his "over-sized living room" and spend an evening listening and singing along with his great songs. He said it has been a long time since returning back to the stage as a solo artist and it was indeed a special treat. As a fellow musician I would b*t that much of Travis's music is penned and played on an acoustic Martin. Travis is also quite a story teller too. His love for veterans is genuine. It was a beautiful night and we will are looking forward to seeing Travis again in mid-May, with his band.

I, myself, am a Disabled Veteran, Retired 30 year Veteran and been to combat 7 times. This has been by far, THE BEST TRIBUTE! to US Veterans and The United States Military serving today to keep us free today. I THANK YOU SO MUCH for the Great Work and time put forth in putting this together. I just found out about this on 92.3 FM a few weeks ago but I promise you, I will be attending next year, GOD WILLING! THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!!

Went to concert not knowing what to expect, found a fun and engaged crowd. People sang along through out and knew every word. I sat in the front row with folks dancing in the aisles right next to me. What a blast! I also appreciated that he supports our veterans and has for a long time. At the end of his concert Travis walked towards where I was sitting and gave me the guitar pick he used during the concert!! Totally unexpected - How cool! Thanks Travis. God bless you and yours. 🫡

ravis Tritt: 6/23/23 “It was my 2nd time seeing Georgia native Travis Tritt LIVE, both within 19 months of each other, both times at the same venue. Back in February of this year I was announced the lucky random winner of a venue sponsored Ticket Tuesday contest for two orchestra seats at the 2,800 seat Bell Auditorium in Augusta GA. The first time I saw him (just coming out of Covid) he brought the house down as he called out to ‘all those beautiful maskless faces’ and I no doubt expected more of the same. The 60 year old singer/songwriter James Travis Tritt received his first guitar at the age of eight, self-taught he broke out big time as a ‘Member of the Class of ’89’ with Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. With 13 studio albums and 41 charted singles including 7 #1’s there would be no lack of material for the Grammy and CMA award winning Grand Ole Opry member. The stage was set as such: keyboards and rhythm guitar on the wings left and right respectively with lead guitar, drums, bass and pedal steel on a stage length riser sandwiched in between. The lighting on the smoke filled stage was four tiered, and there were no video screens. At 8 p.m. the opener of the show Travis’ 25 year old daughter Tyler Reese Tritt and her three man band took the stage for a 45 minute / 12 song set, a 50/50 mix of originals and covers. ‘We came here to have a good time, we hope y’all did too, who’s ready to party?!’ Tyler nailed the covers ‘Poor Poor Pitiful Me’, ‘Seven Year Ache’, and ‘Redneck Woman’ pitch perfect while proving herself more than competent on the big stage with originals such as ‘Porch Light’ and ‘Lonely All Along’. Her own material is really—really good! With the background she has, ‘growing up around artists who are truly like family’ it’s no wonder. Sassy and unexpectedly personal she captured the audiences attention out the gate, ‘Like it or not I got the mic so you got to listen to me whether you like it or not. I’m just kidding, y’all can walk out of here any time.’ No one did! The performance itself was better than a good amount of openers with recording contracts that I’ve recently seen. Don’t be surprised when you hear her on your local Country Music station more sooner than later. After a half hour stage turn, Tritt took the stage at 9:15 for a 1 hour and 55 minute / 18 song set hitting the accelerator out the gate with 1990’s ‘Put Some Drive In Your Country’ and ‘I’m Gonna Be Somebody’. ‘I only have one rule when it comes to singing along and that rule is this, if you’re gonna sing, ladies and gentlemen, please sing good, and I’ll try to do the same. Have fun everybody we’re gonna get high in Augusta!’ With that he broke into, ‘The Whiskey Ain't Workin Anymore’. ‘It’s great to be back in Augusta Georgia y’all, I love this town so much and every time we come back I’m still shocked and amazed how fantastic this audience is.’ Tritt called for a round of applause for his daughter which was graciously reciprocated. ‘She looks like her mama she sings like her daddy.’ Following that was 1996’s ‘Where Corn Don't Grow’, the stage illuminated all in John Deere green and yellow lighting. After ‘Smoke In A Bar’ and ‘Take It Easy’ Tritt took a seat while introducing the next song 1991’s #1 ‘Anymore’ which he dedicated to our military. ‘I was breast fed and hand spanked in a place called Marietta Georgia and as far as I’m concerned the only two things that have ever protected us in this country are Almighty God and our United States military, and that’s it!’ A solo performance of ‘Long Haired Country Boy’ as a tribute to his personal friend Charlie Daniels came next. With the band having exited the stage he shared how Charlie had personally took him under his wing back in 1989 and mentored him like a father throughout his career. Continuing on in a mini-acoustic set he turned to the love songs with ‘Drift Off to Dream’ and the number one ‘Help Me Hold On’. ‘I’ve always been a sucker for a good love song from time to time.’ With the band reentering the stage one by one he picked up the pace with ‘Country Club’, Tritt miming the individual pieces of the song in the performance, swinging a golf club-drinking from a dixie cup-dancing like a fool-shooting pool. A couple of #2’s followed, ‘Here's A Quarter’ in which he modernized the ending, ‘Here’s my cell phone call someone who cares’, and ‘It's a Great Day to Be Alive’. Getting on his ‘Outlaw’ he ran through ‘Modern Day Bonnie And Clyde’ then put on a black hat and with Telecaster in hand complete with monogramed strap he played ‘I Ain't Living Long Like This’ in the style of Jennings. Following was a whopping 11 and a half minute instrumental ‘Country Club Band’ jam with intros and solos. ‘I may a little bit biased but I think that I have one of the best bands not just in country music but in all of music.’ There was Brian Arrowood on acoustic guitar, mandolin and fiddle, Leroy Powell (Beardo The Terrible) on electric guitar, dobro and pedal steel; Jimmy Fullbright on bass and harmony vocals; Josh Day on drums and harmony vocals; Wendell Cox on lead guitar since Travis first started out thirty-six years ago; and Jared Decker on keyboards. Bringing to a conclusion the evening’s set was ’T-R-O-U-B-L-E’ and ‘Let It Roll’ (a Mel McDaniel cover). Noticeably missing from the set were number ones ‘Can I Trust You With My Heart’ and ‘Foolish Pride’, plus 1994’s ‘Between An Old Memory And Me’, but you can’t have ‘em all. Tritt has lived out the songs that he wrote from T-R-O-U-B-L-E to I’m Gonna Be Somebody, he sang it and he did it. From a small town U.S.A. supermarket clerk to a 34 year career legend he’s still living the dream. Travis stated in his ‘Wherever God Lead’s I’m Going’ podcast, ‘I’m one of those people who can look back and say, honestly, my dreams have more than come true’. I wasn't there he always gives his very best for his fans coz he loves his fans and anyone who's been even who hasn't been if you watched one of his videos of his concerts awesome and when he runs out on that stage and you see that big grin 😁 he's ready to party for his fans come rain or snow I haven't had a chance to see him in person yet from just the videos I saw I want leave disappointed coz he's coming to Cullman Alabama I'm going to that one I live in Decatur Alabama it's a hour from my house to where he's going to be and is going to be my first time I'm so excited

The War Hippies opened the show and were fantastic, as their harmonies are great! They appeared after the show to greet fans, and they are terrific guys!! Headliner Travis Tritt has been around for several decades now, and his songs are just as great as ever! I've seen him in concert many times, but it's been a long while now, and his vocals sounded as good as ever. His band was excellent as well. Travis even played a couple of new songs from his most recent album (first in 14 years), and the new songs were very good! It was a pleasure to see Travis back out performing live music again!! Chris Janson is just a natural born entertainer, as well as a great lyricist and vocalist. He's one of my favorites to see live in concert, as he seems to be a nice guy who cares that his fans have a good time, and his show is always a great deal of fun!

Although it’s hot I do enjoy the Thunder Valley Venue. This event fans were provided and I valued that thoughtfulness. Travis Tritt & his band did an amazing show. I know they must have been hot not only because of the weather but also all the lights but they didn’t even let it phase them. Randy was jumping, dancing and rocking his guitar. Watching the band vibe was awesome. I’ve never seen a steel pedal guitar live so that was a treat as well. The energy from Travis and his band really lit up the crowd. I don’t think anyone in the venue sat down once the entire performance. It was one of the best shows.

Show was great, even though it was hot. The opener changed last minute to David nail, they were excellent. I am not a fan of c****o shows...people tend to come in drunk and sloppy for the main act and dump drinks all over. I was second row center, great seats..but for the last song security let anyone go to the front. Not to be a snob, buttttt..we paid extra to see the show...in the premium seats...we did not pay to see late comers and row hoppers.

We paid 95 a ticket and couldn't see him. Got up to take a picture, but you can't stand , unless you are in the beer line. Icouldn't bring my gifts to Travis, but saw another person with a big bag like mine. No screens to watch the performance. Ticket stated gates open at 5, but I went online and it said 5:30pm. The bathrooms outside were too far away to walk, after standing in the heat. Did you see the holes in the parking lot? OMG. Had,I known,I would have stood in the front with the drinkers to hear the music. We just Left. Karon and Sharon

As usual, Travis Tritt and the Country Club Band ROCKED THE HOUSE! They never fail to give 150%! Haven't met many, if any, who can touch these guys! Except Waylon Jennings! That man was ON FIRE!! As Waylon is no longer with us that puts Travis in my crosshairs! Now he's the one who is ON FIRE!!! I loved the show and all the energy it exuded! Going to see him as much as possible! I never get tired of his music nor his performances! ROCK ON TRAVIS!!!

Travis Tritt has been out of the limelight for a little bit having been swept aside by the whatever passes for Country Music nowadays… He is back with a new album (Set in Stone) and has been touring both as a solo acoustic artist and with his full band. Saw him years ago at the Ohio State Fair and on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Glad to see that he is both touring and recording new music. His show at the Lorain Palace Theater was outstanding! His voice is in top shape and he interacted extensively with the audience, performing both old and new music, tributes to Charlie Daniels and Waylon Jennings… If you appreciate Country Music, go to a Travis Tritt show. He IS the living embodiment of the best the genre has to offer. You’ll have a fantastic time and don’t forget to take the family🎵🎶🎵

Travis Tritt got to see as he called out “all those beautiful maskless faces” in his home state of GA. To my surprise the crowd was especially subdued prior to the show and worked up to an eruption when Tritt came on, in what my wife described as the rowdiest crowd she’s seen in a non-bar venue! Travis did the long set with great solos from each member of his six piece band. That’s exactly what Tritt would do, and did!

Totally awesome!! I took my 5yr old granddaughter. Who loves concerts with Gigi. First time she got to see Wendell (our friend) at work. She know the songs and loves dancing in the isle to A great band! I’ve always loved all music but not to big on country in my teens. Grew up with grandparents bluegrass band . Weekend pickin sessions with my daddy and family . Travis was the first country musician in early 80’s that I liked the whole tape (no skipping) . Travis was great Wendell and rest of the band wonderful as usual !! Braelyn and I had a terrific time. Thank you guys for all ya do ! And so very thankful you all were ok in that horrible wreck . My first time here was last night to see Travis Tritt. He was amazing as always of course. The venue itself was very nice. Easy access and parking. I would agree with others that have said there’s not a bad seat there. The layout truly is in such a way that it feels very small and personable. At the same time, the seats are more comfortable and the legroom more generous than most theaters I’ve been to. Plenty of volunteers available and friendly to answer questions. We came from two hours away and sat in row E in the left orchestra section and the seats were amazing! Thanks for a great night!

It was amazing, magical, exciting, intimate. I’ve seen other shows but with his band and they are always wonderful! This was the first time with just Travis . His voice and his playing were exceptional and s**y. I loved the stories he told. It was even more fun as it was my 71 st Birthday and my children gave us the tickets!! So last night was even more than I could have wanted . What a talented, brilliant artist. I was still ‘floating when I arrived home. The best birthday evening I’ve had in years!! Thank you for making it unforgettable.. I look forward to seeing you again Travis Tritt.

Great seats great weather and the concert was phenomenal and fantastic I've been following this man since the 80s and every concert he's put on has been great he's not only a good musician but also a good performer. He has my upright respect here is a picture of my wife with the lead guitarist this been with him the longest. I've seen this man 9 times. And every concert has been fantastic. This one I will never forget. He also puts on a great acoustic concert. We seen him at Pocono Raceway with his band at Pocono Raceway. The list is continuous. An awesome concert once again at the Stark County Fairgrounds.

Travis Tritt got to see as he called out “all those beautiful maskless faces” in his home state of GA. To my surprise the crowd was especially subdued prior to the show and worked up to an eruption when Tritt came on, in what my wife described as the rowdiest crowd she’s seen in a non-bar venue! Travis did the long set with great solos from each member of his six piece band. That’s exactly what Tritt would do, and did!

Totally awesome!! I took my 5yr old granddaughter. Who loves concerts with Gigi. First time she got to see Wendell (our friend) at work. She know the songs and loves dancing in the isle to A great band! I’ve always loved all music but not to big on country in my teens. Grew up with grandparents bluegrass band . Weekend pickin sessions with my daddy and family . Travis was the first country musician in early 80’s that I liked the whole tape (no skipping) . Travis was great Wendell and rest of the band wonderful as usual !! Braelyn and I had a terrific time. Thank you guys for all ya do ! And so very thankful you all were ok in that horrible wreck . My first time here was last night to see Travis Tritt. He was amazing as always of course. The venue itself was very nice. Easy access and parking. I would agree with others that have said there’s not a bad seat there. The layout truly is in such a way that it feels very small and personable. At the same time, the seats are more comfortable and the legroom more generous than most theaters I’ve been to. Plenty of volunteers available and friendly to answer questions. We came from two hours away and sat in row E in the left orchestra section and the seats were amazing! Thanks for a great night!

It was amazing, magical, exciting, intimate. I’ve seen other shows but with his band and they are always wonderful! This was the first time with just Travis . His voice and his playing were exceptional and s**y. I loved the stories he told. It was even more fun as it was my 71 st Birthday and my children gave us the tickets!! So last night was even more than I could have wanted . What a talented, brilliant artist. I was still ‘floating when I arrived home. The best birthday evening I’ve had in years!! Thank you for making it unforgettable.. I look forward to seeing you again Travis Tritt.

Great seats great weather and the concert was phenomenal and fantastic I've been following this man since the 80s and every concert he's put on has been great he's not only a good musician but also a good performer. He has my upright respect here is a picture of my wife with the lead guitarist this been with him the longest. I've seen this man 9 times. And every concert has been fantastic. This one I will never forget. He also puts on a great acoustic concert. We seen him at Pocono Raceway with his band at Pocono Raceway. The list is continuous. An awesome concert once again at the Stark County Fairgrounds.
