Omniversum

4.4.2014 the second release from Omniversums entitled "Demigods" saw the light of day. The EP contains 6 original tracks with variations from melodic atmospheres and solid beats to powerful riffing with a combination of clean vocals and grunts. The CD also contains "Shed a Piano", the symphonic version of Fatality pt.2: Shed a Tear, as a bonus track (only available on the physical copy). All this is wrapped up in a nice 6 side digipack with mat finish to compliment the beautiful artwork done by singer Tomas Ahlroos. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by guitarist Jani Snellman during 2013. "Demigods" is a natural progression from the previous "...As the End Draws Near". The heavy sound is complimented with electronic and symphonic elements with with the structures of the songs varying from straight forward riffs to more progressive structures. Omniversum is a modern metal band, with electronic influences founded in 2010 in Kuopio, Finland. The three members come from various backgrounds which colors the music in a way that seems to appeal to all kinds of metal lovers. During the past 2 years the music has evolved into a mixture of heavy riffing, pounding groves and melodies sharp as a razor blade. It is uncertain what the future holds, but the past has shown there may be room for yet one more Finnish band in the world. Omniversum released their debut demo ”When The Lights Are Gone” in late 2011 and was given a warm welcome by the metal community and got the opportunity to play shows with bands such as, Amaranthe (SWE), Black Light Discipline, Xe-None (RUS) and Fear Of Domination. In early 2012 it was time to release the first official EP ”As The End Draws Near” to the public. Containing 6 tracks, the EP gave the band a major push onto the battlefield where the big boys fight. Omniversum had the honor of working with one of the best singers in the history of Finnish metal.
