About Hourswill

2009 - After some years of an obscure existence, Hourswill, led by Nuno Peixoto on drums, and José Bonito on guitars, who combined efforts for some time with the purpose of writing some material based on their musical influences, was joined later by vocalist Nuno Damião, found in guitarist Ruben Chamusca a bass player, and in Rodrigo Louraço a lead guitarist. The elements needed to step into another stage of musical development and formation stability. This fact was followed by the release of the promo single "Nothing Divine MMIX". 2011 - During this period, some recordings were made, and later a few tracks were gathered in a thing called "the demo attempt" that was never officially released. Also, first live presentation happened. 2012 - With some more live presentations on their back, the group decided to team up with guitarist Sérgio Melo to initiate the production and recording process of what would later become the band's first album. 2013 - Sérgio integrated the band in order to replace Rodrigo's departure. 2014 - Hourswill got signed by independent Portuguese label Ethereal Sound Works, and their debut record called ''Inevitable'' was released on 16th October. 2015 - The live promotion work continued, and the band was featured on the 13 Portuguese Metal Compilation Vol. IV. Sérgio and Ruben were replaced by the return of former guitarist Rodrigo Louraço, and by bassist Pedro Costa. 2016 - The official video clip for the song ''Nothing Divine'' was released worldwide. The band was featured on ''Thirteen'', an Ethereal Sound Works compilation released to celebrate the thirteen years of the label, both on CD and DVD. Last live presentations from “Inevitable” promotional work took place, and Hourswill together with vocalist Nuno Damião decided to cease their long time musical partnership. At the end of the year, the band teamed with the producer Fernando Matias in order to initiate the production and recording process of their 2nd record. 2017 - In the beginning of the year, singer Leonel Silva joined Hourswill. At September, 11, Hourswill 2nd record entitled "Harm Full Embrace" is released via Ethereal Sound Works HOURSWILL
