Karise Eden gave an outstanding performance. I can remember watching Karise on the Voice, the night that Karise won ... then suddenly this girl disappeared. Tonight, Karise answered all my questions ,,, the untold media ones. This Woman has been on a journey of self-discovery, oh what journey it has been by the sounds of it. Her stories are heart wrenching, hilarious and just bloody down to earth no airs and graces here. I'd love to sit around a campfire with her and that wouldn't be long enough to partake in Karise's Therapy time as she calls it. Karise sang everything I needed to me joy. My personal favorite "My Old Friend" her new release on the night "Wild Hearts" was just fantastic live.
However, the venue The Hahndorf Old Mill was quite disappointing in the staging department. Karise performed with the "House Lights" on, not really creating the right atmosphere at all. Our seats we up the front near the stage it was bitterly cold, it really felt like a door had been left open; I don't know about the Old Mill, it certainly felt like an "Old Barn" that night.
I should mention we had a lovely dinner before the show and the service was great.
