Hozier

I LOVE HOZIER!!! Hearing him live was amazing his voice and his whole band was great! Definitely recommend seeing him live it’s like nothing else! It was at Pine Knob which was great, we got pavilion seats so we didn’t have to worry about having a bad spot the only thing that wasn’t so good was the fact that someone behind us threw up and it just barley touched the back of my legs, lol.

This venue was definitely oversold- the lawn was packed like sardines and it was difficult for anyone not to be sitting on top of someone else. Lawn chair rentals should not have been allowed for this event. Also-to anyone who goes to a Hozier show and is upset to hear about "politics", I regret to inform you that you are painfully unaware of where you are, and your ticket should have gone to a more deserving fan. Politics has been part of the message his entire career, for over 10 years at this point. You don't get to go to the show and be mad about hearing "Nina Cried Power." Could one be more clueless? The drunken antics of some folks, and smoking of different sorts aside, I enjoyed the show and he was excellent as was Allison Russell.

The Hozier concert was just OK, I was very upset that there was no screen image of Allyson Russell. I didn’t realize that at this venue if you had lawn seats they could not fview any of the concert-and when the opening act who I adore, was not visible on the screen, which wasn’t that large from my seat anyway was nonexistent. Finally when Hozier came on the screen was visible, but it really wasn’t a very personal environment to see Hozier in either I might be complaining too much because it wasn’t the artist That was the problem, it was the venue.

i went in with high expectations, and those expectations were well exceeded. hozier is one of those artists that sounds even better live than in his recordings, and he was incredibly humble and gracious the entire evening. at one point during cherry wine, he pulled out his earpiece and asked the crowd to sing the chorus again, then proceeded to get choked up on stage listening to everyone. he’s also the only artist i’ve ever seen that took the time to not only name and thank every member of his band, but his stage crew and tour manager as well. my only complaint is about the venue itself, as the speakers on the far back of the lawn weren’t working for the first three and a half songs of his set. once the tech issues were solved, the rest of the evening was incredible!

Hozier himself was great, very amazing concert; however, there were some members of the crowd that were very drunk and obnoxious screaming “f**k everyone that’s not us. Sorry that you are all perfect people.” Etc. and dumping their beer on other people that were standing in front of us because said people looked at the obnoxious ones when they were screaming. Overall amazing concert, some people just need to learn concert etiquette.

freaking heavenly experience. despite a muddy lawn and light rain shower, we had the time of our lives dancing to allison russel and hozier’s amazing performances. One of my top all time concert experiences, and i was 100+ feet away from the stage… he’s that good! Loved that he gave an almost six minute speech about collective action and praising the students to keep fighting the good fight with peace and love… not many artists have the balls to call for revolution on stage

The concert was amazing, the workers were so helpful and nice with whatever questions we had or anything we needed. Despite the blazing heat in the lawn area, we got there pretty early (5, the doors opened at 6:30, concert started at 7:30), and we were like in the “fourth” lawn row, which was very close compared to the later arrivals. After the sun went down the heat wasn’t as bad, but if your constantly walking around or when you stand up at the concerts start it will get a bit worse again. Honestly I believe it’s worth it for the price we payed (78$ each) especially because as soon as Hozier got on stage the heat didn’t even matter to us. Everything was great, Allison Russell was a wonderful opener, and Hozier’s concert was one of the best experiences. I totally recommend anyone to go if they ever get the chance again. The lawn isn’t as bad as you think, if you get there early enough.

Hozier is super talented and is a really skilled musician. And I mostly enjoyed the show except when both artists decided to use the stage as a pulpit for politics and "social justice". We are already bombarded with that on TV, the news, social media, etc. So I genuinely ask, where can we go now for escape from it when everyone feels they need to pontificate their viewpoint(s) to the world? What truly makes me sad is that so many are pushing back now against what is real in absolute truth in favor of personal/individual truths, that of which does not truly exist. It's a facade and it's not real. Despite the perception some might have of me as a Christian, I don't say this in anger or in condemnation, but out of love. Because ultimately when you love someone, you don't lie to them but tell them the truth, even when it's difficult to say and hear. And I pray that you'll one day accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior. He is the Truth and the Life, the only way to the Father, and salvation. And He loves you so much. So much so that He died for me, for you, for all of us. So that we could have everlasting life with Him. I love you all, in Jesus' name.

This was a breathtaking show. Allison Russel and her band was fantastic. Hozier was just so beautiful and haunting that I can’t put it to words. The PNC Pavilion is also perfectly set up for a concert. The flow of people doesn’t get stuck, everything moves very quickly, and no matter what there is almost always exactly what you need wherever you are. I also loved the small sticker that was on the back of the arena seats where we could text the security our location at any time if there was a problem.

Seeing (and admiring) Hozier live was just amazing! His voice and talent in general, but also his band are just incredible. The pre-band (The Last Dinner Party) were epic also and fitting for a Hozier concert. Finally seeing him live was a dream come true, it was definitely worth it and I’ll do it again soon!! The venue I was at was also good, no complications nor queuing time (I was there 1h before start) and the fans were great too (there wasn’t any pushing as far as I’m aware and they looked out for each other). If you want to see Hozier live, DO IT <3

Great to hear live! We got an acapella 'i am stretched on your grave rendition for the spooky season. Free patches comemorating the performance date were given away and that was so charming! (I'm usually buying patches to commemorate live shows!) I loved seeing how aggressively he performed take me to church, and it was great seeing him highlight his bandmates and crew. And giving permission to let the crowd join in and singing for parts was great, but it never overpowered his voice or performance

Beyond amazing. The love and appreciation from the fans, the incredible set list, the sound, the lights - I would see Hozier a million times at this venue if I lived long enough (and could afford to 😊). I’m grateful for the entire experience of feeling the physical presence of Hozier and his musician family in this perfectly sized venue. I cried with joy during the concert and again the next morning seeing some video my husband took. Loved it beyond my ability to find the right words to describe it.

Excellent show and great performance. Beautiful voice, well-crafted songs, powerful delivery. Good vibes between the band members. Visible pleasure and interaction with the crowd. Really pleased with the setlist including some new and upcoming releases; good balance of ballads and up-tempo songs, hits and new material. Sound at moments too loud and distorted, but overall very well-mixed. Good light-show. Very well executed. What perhaps impressed most was the personal and honest performance: Hozier doesn't seem to be on auto-pilot, with room for on-stage interaction and proper attention to all the crew working with the band to make the magic happen. About 6000 people in the audience were audibly impressed and entertained. Support act (Victoria Canal) very nice as warming-up. Great voice, fun interaction with the crowd, also visible pleasure on stage. Great performance. Nice extra: a duet with Andrew mid-gig performing "Swan Song". Good combo of support and main act. Show was stopped 3 times for aid to people in the audience needing medical attention. Hozier responded quickly and warmly asking the crowd to give space and be patient. It took away a little bit of the magic flow, but the band's response and professional pick-up made up for it. Fun moment: Andrew picked the wrong guitar and started off a song only to realize pitch would be too high. Band continued with crowd support while Andrew and stage crew got it sorted.

This was one of the most surreal experience of my life so far. Everything was absolutely perfect and mesmerizing. The opening act was awesome and her voice was soooooo beautiful!! Also when Hozier came out he was so heavenly and his voice was raw, pure, and mind blowing . His band was also extremely good and everything about this concert and experience was mind blowing. If you ever get the opportunity to see him, TAKE IT! you won’t be disappointed

He absolute took me to church. Amen! My soul is full of joy. I absolutely was so excited he started the tour with such great musicians and sing writers... His music is very passionate and deep. I actually wanna go again....hmm... All my favorite songs were played, even had the crowd singing along. The best concert in a long time, felt so intimate. If you love soulful music.... Definitely worth front row seats for sure.

It all started with the opening band Bailen, great choice. Then Hozier starts and the. Room goes nuts!! His third song Nina got the Power was off the hook and my personal favorite. It seemed like he played the entire new LP and thats a good thing but had plenty of other great hits. His interactions with his audience was hilarious. Played a few in the encore and everyone left fulfilled

Homeboy was off the charts! Take ME to church am I right???? On a real note his visuals are lovely, the lighting was perfectly fit to the mood of each song, the band was impeccable and all had very cool style, and he introduced his songs in a very thoughtful, well put way making them that much more enjoyable. I would definitely go back to see him! He’s just as fun to see with a date or with friends! My friends and I were singing and dancing, and just a section away he had a couple slow dancing in the aisle. He really puts on a show for everyone!

Deadly craic! Fair play to the staff, handing out cups of water to the people in front :) Gavin James and Ryan Sheridan have crazy talent! Hudson Taylor were fantastic, they really know how to work with a crowd. Hozier himself was phenomenal, I can't believe I just seen him live!! Little Green Cars and The Riptide Movement were great fun to listen to, love their music. The Coronas were a lovely surprise! All in all, the best night of my life

Hozier is incredible live. His voice sounds exactly like the album and his guitar playing is amazing. He interacted with the audience and you could tell how genuinely happy he was to play for everyone. Also, this was one of the best concerts I've seen in regard to lights and special effects. He played for a long time and even played a pretty long encore. We had to wait a while for the concert to start and I personally wasn't too fond of the opener, but overall the concert was superb and I would highly recommend anyone to go if they have the opportunity to.

Great performance. The sold out crowd was really excited and ready for the show. The band was spot on, playing everything from the deluxe version of his eponymous release with a couple of covers thrown in. I would have enjoyed more song introductions. The introduction to 'In a Week' added more texture to the haunting lyrics, increasing my enjoyment. Definitely a show I'd like to see again. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll get to see him at such an intimate venue again in quite some time, but we can hope.
