Growing up in rural Sligo in the eighties, his dad’s weekly blues sessions and extensive record collection fueled his passion in music. From supporting Paul Weller in Dublin's sold out Olympia Theatre to playing in front of a crowd of 15,000 at the annual Mayor of London St. Patricks Day Celebrations in Trafalgar Square, Yngve both solo and with his band 'The Innocent', has clocked up over 500 live shows since making the move from Dublin to London 6 years ago. The release of the 2011 Single 'Draw A Line' and debut 'Yngve & The Innocent' Album 'The Sadness of Remembering' saw a succession of breakthroughs including UK national airplay on BBC Radio 2 by Steve Lamacq and Radio 6 by Tom Robinson. A glut of UK Festival appearances followed including Bestival, Hop Farm, Secret Garden Party and Green Man Music Festivals (to name a few) and after signing to the german independent label Tonetoaster Records in 2012 the band have been a regular fixture on the european touring circuit with live shows, national radio appearances and spot plays in Holland, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Spain.
