The Jazzistics

The Jazzistics is an experimentation developed by Portland, OR keyboardist and Chicago, IL native Chris "Philly" Phillips. A group name originally coined by Madlib from his Madlib Invasion/ Yesterday's Universe release inspired Phillips to carry on a jazz/funk/hip-hop/fusion group that with a Madlib influence accompanied by a rotating cast of some of the finest musicians that Portland, OR has to offer. The Portland Jazzistics will feature original material from Phillips as well as plenty of improvisation between whoever happens to be a part of the Jazzistics that evening.
