Mass Terror

Mass Terror is a Hardcore punk band that was formed in 2007, in Los Angeles, CA by Thorr Viernes (vocals/guitar) Neil(drums) and Jeff “Roach” Nunez (Bass). Mass Terror came out of the ashes of DTOX from Tecate, B.C. Mexico. Thor and Neil had resided in Mexico & played in bands Like (Man Destroys Himself, Restos Mortales, Head Rush, Obscenidad) in the Mid 90's & early 2000's. After many Shows, Baja Tours, and Recording (DTOX) demos in Mexico City, with good friend Kike Salazar (RIP), And sessions in Tijuana & San Diego in 2004 - 2005. Thorr and Neil, decided to move back to L.A. to start a new, heavier punk band, that’s when they met Jeff Roach at a Conflict show in Hollywood, and got together soon after to take out songs from the previous (DTOX) demos, songs like: Punx Unite, Riot Today & Racist People Suck! Soon after, Mass Terror got their first gig in Hollywood @ the famous Knitting Factory, then M.T. went on to playing a slew of shows in Backyards, Local Bars and Venues for the next couple of years. In 2008, Mass Terror recruited Kyle (Temple of Dagon) for a few months on 2nd guitar. In 2009, Mass Terror got the opportunity to record a Full Length Album in Tijuana, MX. And from this came their 1st album release, “Break the System!” with 16 tracks! Hitting targets and issues like Global Corruption, Nuclear War and Mass Extinction! Break The System! was released under indie label Opcion Sonica USA/ Punx Life Records. Mass Terror, went on to promoting Break the System! By playing shows up and down the west coast with bands like: UK SUBS, Resistant Culture, Ass Rash, Verbal Abuse, Attitude Adjustment, Total Chaos, Clusterfux, SMD + many more. Mass Terror also released a couple of DIY Music Videos on YouTube. In 2010, Jeff Roach decided to part ways with the band, And Johnny X (Humachine/Social Conflict) was recruited on bass, Max Paul, (Shot Out Hoods) was also recruited on guitar for shows in Southern California. In 2012, Eddie Lopez (Dr. Jack/ Head Rush) took bass duties, And Josh Parten (Kill Kops) took on 2nd vocals. In 2013, Mass Terror embarked in a 14 day Tour across the western U.S.A, with Street Punk Legend's ONE WAY SYSTEM, from the United Kingdom, M.T. recruited Zack Volta, (Krum Bums/The Ghouls) on bass duties for this tour. Mass Terror, was also featured in an amazing comp for a great cause...'PUNK/AID BOSTON/OKC STRONG' "A benefit for the Boston Marathon and Oklahoma Tornado victims and their families" along side bands like: The Defects, The Adicts, Anti-Pasti, Vice Squad & many more great International bands. In May of 2014, Mass Terror and One Way System, came back together for another great west coast tour!! playing great shows with Cro - Mags, A Global Threat, The Adicts, Leftover Crack, and the Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas w/ many great American and International punk bands! In October of 2014, Mass Terror toured the West again! with the great mighty legendary ENGLISH DOGS from the U.K., on this tour, M.T. also had the opportunity to play with Legendary 80's Mexican punk band SINDROME DEL PUNK! Currently, Mass Terror recorded new album material in North Hollywood, California. And also recently, this passed January 2015, a E.P. recording in Tecate, Mexico.
