About Crimson Twins

Twin brothers Cesar Octavio and Marco Vynnicio known as the DJ Duo: Crimson Twins have come a long way in a short period of time. In just 4 years, they’ve managed to become budding DJ talent with a lot of hype for their energetic play style, crowd interaction and crafty creativity in song selection and mixing. The Crimson Twins, who’s real names are, Cesar and Marco Moreno were born and raised in Baldwin Park California up until they were 13 years old – when they then moved to Riverside California and attended Junior High and High School. Their music influences are deep rooted in Hip Hop from their younger years from artist such as L.L. Cool J and The Beastie Boys. The passion for performing for an audience was apparent when they performed “Going Back To Cali” by L.L. Cool J, in a talent show for their fellow classmates when they were 9 years old. It wasn’t until their freshman year in High School in the early 90’s when the two were introduced to House music in the Inland Empire Rave scene. The two brothers were immediately mesmerized by the rhythm of House. Shortly into their freshman year they joined a party crew and began hosting house parties and raves all over the I.E. After high school the two separated from the party scene and began to get back into Hip Hop during the start of the mixtape era. In 1999 while fooling around with a recording program on Windows ’98, Marco under the alias “Sinassasin” wrote and recorded his first song over a Wu-Tang Clan beat that he sampled off a 10 second intro and looped it into 3 minutes - and that began a 6 year stint in the Hip Hop scene where he recorded mixtapes with a few friends he met in high school. In early 2000, Marco was introduced to Latin rap icon, Kid Frost and frequented the studio of Frost in the Los Angeles area where he dabbled in the studio with fellow friends while making an album for the Group “Rotten Dirty”. No official album was ever released and the project was shelved. Marco would go on to spend countless hours looping beats and producing music for the group in his own studio. During that same time, twin brother, Cesar spent his time affiliated with a Southern California motorcycle club known as, 2nd To None Bikers and the motorcycle stunt scene learning tricks and recording and editing stunt videos in a small studio his brother built in the room of their house in Monterey Park, CA. In mid to late 2000’s, the brothers settled down for a few years taking a break from the music and motorcycle scene. It wasn’t until 2009 when the opportunity presented itself – and the brothers came back into the music scene by accompanying a close friend who was a young up and coming DJ by the name of “DJ Kido”. The brothers would tag-along while their friend would DJ clubs in the Los Angeles area and it was only a matter of time before the brothers would attempt to spin tunes on the amateur DJ program known as “Virtual DJ” in their room regularly till the early hours of the morning – driving their neighbors and the Monterey Park Police Department crazy with their insanely loud music. They quickly became addicted to DJing - and spared no expense getting up to speed with the best gear they could get their hands on - also thanks to their buddies over at Dj Pro Shop in Montebello, Ca. The DJ duo are officially FREE AGENTS and look forward to rocking with you on the dance floor soon!
