In addition to a strong upbringing in Blues and Rock guitar styles, Dixon studied guitar performance and songwriting at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as studying jazz performance at East Carolina University. This guitar-driven power trio covers a lot of ground stylistically, with heavy concentration on Blues, Jam, Rock, and Soul; truly something for everyone. The album was Mastered by multiple-Grammy Award-winner, Brian Lucey in Los Angeles (the Black Keys, Ray Lamontagne, Beck). Think Gary Clark Jr. meets the Black Keys, with some Red Hot Chili Peppers sprinkled on top. Dixon performs solo shows while “looping” multiple instrument parts in addition to the DDTrio shows.
